in general the importance of characters in lots of movies etc. i especially remember pacific rim and i expected this deep characterisation of mako and in the end it was just kind of... okay? nothing to write home about imho.

I had my first psychiatrist appointment yesterday.

And I'm not entirely sure about her just yet? I've been diagnosed with ADHD since I was ten, and I finally managed to get the ball rolling on getting my depression treated. She put me on a mood stabilizer to try first, and didn't write me any kind of prescription for any kind of ADHD medication. Now, my symptoms do kind of fit bipolar. Except that all of the "up" bipolar symptoms I have are also most definitely ADHD symptoms as well.

So I'm not sure yet if what I have is a psych who's wisely covering all the bases to make sure I'm getting the right treatment, or one who's not listening to what I say.

Need help finding author that was recced several weeksago!

A little while ago, as part of reccing for some other fandom (which I don't recall), someone recced an author named (I think) chichisushi. The rec sounded interesting enough that I went and looked up the author -- and saw that they also had a number of interesting G-and T rated Rogue One stories for Baze and Chirrut.

Stupidly, I guess I didn't bookmark the stories, because when I went back a week or so ago to read them, I couldn't find the author anywhere.

Does whoever recced that author have a link, or know if they pulled their stories, or what?

My fictional heroes would never be proud of me. All I know how to do is try to stay safe and comfortable even if I believe something is wrong. I can't take confrontation or pressure. Oh, they'd be disappointed in me. I need a reality check. Maybe the problem lies in the genres I choose. Superhero movies and epic fantasy might not be what I should feel I need to live up to, yes? Do other people feel bad about how they would let down the characters they admire?

My spelling was perfect, though. Kinda proud of past!me for at least being good at English.

I'm participating in a Big Bang for a smaller fandom, and today was the 100 percent complete author check in, and my author hasn't checked in apparently, and the discord channel we had been using to communicate has disappeared. Granted it had been pretty dead the last couple weeks while we quietly worked, and I have never used discord so idk if it will go inactive or whatever, but yeah. I hope she hasn't defaulted or something, cause I would hate for my work to go to waste. I suppose that's the risk of collaborative work though.

Job Searching and Character References

I have been searching for a job for quite a while.

I don't have any personal references. The applications usually want three people who are not related to you and have known you for at least a year. I don't have friends that I hang out with, just pen pals or online friends. I haven't kept in contact with former co-workers. I don't volunteer anywhere because I don't have money to pay for transportation. I used to volunteer with Girl Scouts and the Society for Creative Anachronism, but that was ten years ago. I am Atheist so I don't go to church. The local Atheist group just meets once a month at a local restaurant for dinner and I can't afford to go.

I don't know what to put down. My past jobs are no good either because my former bosses have quit or passed away and no one remembers I used to work there.

I am on the Autism spectrum and signed up for help with getting a job from Vocational Rehabilitation in early October. They said I qualified for help and assigned me a job coach, but the coach said that he can't help me because I live in H. County and they only help people from C. County. Living in H County was something I stressed to the VR caseworker beforehand because I didn't want to have trouble with getting help because of where I live. My case was sent back to the VR caseworker and that was in early March. I call or email the caseworker once a week, but when I do receive a response, it is a vague We're working on it. I can't drive due to mainly physical problems but also financial reasons, so that is another strike against me. Here a lot of jobs require a driver's license.

I am just so frustrated with everything.
