Quasimodo from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is actually kinda cute and not scary at all, IMHO. His sweet personality and big strong arms slide him into 'a solid 6' territory on the attractive scale for me.

Lol I commented something like that once somewhere and got totally dogpiled about how FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS SHOULD BE ABLE TO JUST DROP BY AND YOU'RE HORRIBLE AND RUDE IF YOU THINK IT'S RUDE OR DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR!!

It was ridiculous and hilarious all at the same time. Like, I love my family to death, but I wouldn't drop in on them unannounced, and they would never do it to me. It's fucking rude and it assumes that the person you're dropping in on has no plans and can just accommodate your rude ass randomly showing up.

I roll my eyes hard at people who consume canons with historical settings and go “Yikes, that guy’s racist.” or “Ugh, another flat earther.” Like, obvious much? Of course racists exist in historical times and of course someone born before Columbus or some other navagator proved the earth was round would think earth is flat like paper.

I made this before but explained it badly. So retry.

I listen to podcasts that recap old shows episode by episode. However, they tend to be 100% spoiler free for future episodes. While I appreciate the dedication to new fans, I feel this takes away from the discussion and wish that they'd at least do a spoiler segment for any spoiler-related thoughts. I prefer free, unspoiled discussion that looks at old episodes with everything we know now.

I loved RENT in college but think the characters were horrible now.

Lois McMaster Bujold’s books are some of my favorites, but the obsession many of her protagonists have with having (lots of) children, and the general worldview of her books, even to the point where (in her scifi) rape victims’ fetuses are not aborted, but surgically removed from rape victims and brought to term in artificial uteruses, creeps me out.

I wish Stuckys would have a little more self-awareness when they know they're the only ones still mad about Endgame but pretend it has absolutely nothing to do with their ship. It's fine. Your ship got torpedoed and it sucks. Just process it and move on like the rest of us, damn.

N!S: I'm a lesbian. I almost exclusively ship/create content for M/M pairings.

S: I say it's because I enjoy the freedom that comes with not worrying or becoming detached from my work if I'm being completely accurate on the sexytimes because I can never 100% put myself into the scene, but the truth is because I'm deeply uncomfortable with het and lesbian media. I've become so tired of women not being allowed to have their own stories without a romantic component that any interest I have shuts down immediately as soon as an "attraction" is present. Men get to have adventures without falling in love. Why can't women?

Every time I rewatched Charmed, I get angry all over again over what they did to Cole. He was possessed. And then Phoebe blamed him for being possessed and was a general asshole to him. He eventually goes full-on evil, but the Charmed ones deserved that for how they treated him. I love Phoebe/Cole as a ship because they worked well as a couple until the show ruined his character. But season 5 is just generally terrible.

I'm really enjoying this season of Project Runway. I love Tim Gunn, but the past few seasons it has seemed like he's been over it. Christian wasn't amazing the first few episodes, but he's become really good. And I like quite a few of the designers. And the challenges have been interesting.

I consider myself a feminist. But I have some very specific likes in porn that are kind of not feminist? I'm a bi woman who is really into breasts, and men fucking a woman's breasts is really hot to me? I'm more likely to imagine myself as the man. But still. It makes me feel icky that I have this kink.

Every year on May 25th I lament that lilacs don’t grow here and that cut lilacs aren’t available to buy anywhere in town past early May. If they were, I’d totally braid some into my hair and hope other Pratchett geeks would say hi. Maybe I should just make a People’s Republic of Treacle Mine Road t-shirt for next year.

If you think that you have the right to ask for money because you're writing fanfiction and that people who think you don't have the right

1) see zero worth in the art of writing,
2) are spitting on every writer under the sun, and therefore
3) are invalidating you specifically as a person,

you're being ridiculous. What did people do before websites like Patreon or Ko-fi existed? Hell, what did they do before the internet existed and brought fanfiction readers and writers together? Guess they all sat in a dark corner of their room, sadly dreaming of the day they can exchange a drabble for a cup of coffee because they dared not try their hand at original fiction until they became writing masters after training for years through fanfiction.

I play Toukiden 2 with armour based on how it looks and Mitama based on how cute they are. I'm sure I'm not even remotely the only one but it's still a bit embarrassing.

I wish people would understand that blackwashing Asian or other POC characters is just as offensive as whitewashing black ones. If you condemn one but celebrate the other, you're a hypocrite.
