I like the tagging system on AO3, but I also like FFN (as after the early days of archives, LJ, and quizilla this is where I went for fic).

To save myself the tears, I just turn fics I really like into pdfs using different websites. That is one thing I like about ao3.


What specifically do you like about FFN?

Not familiar with this book in particular, but this is the reason I don't read urban fantasy almost ever. Because it's always some variation of 'tough girl kicks ass but needs love' and dude, I'm in the urban fantasy for the intersection of magic, modern society, and technology and the interesting consequences of those intersections. SIGH. I wish I could find more of that.

Frankly, I think my version fits the tone of the song better.

After all, the singer certainly seems to be responding to the revelation in a faux-cheerful way—seems pretty poisonous to me.

I don’t even own a copy of this song; why am I so insistent on hearing/singing it that way?
