Aw, OP. Yeah, it's probably not going to happen (your friends leaving you).

I share your pain however. I find it's more of a question about finding the friends who tolerate it (or actually enjoy the same fandom?) and gushing periodically. Like the entire conversation doesn't need to be that, but a nice chunk can be. It's just gauging interest, and moderating the conversation.

Here's to all my friends who have dealt with my ridiculous fandom rants -- most of which are just me lusting over a character or actor. I am usually very embarrassed, but I gotta get those feelings out!

Well...while I have no horse in the that part of SPN fandom (a Dean/OC girl myself) it would be interesting, but I think the idea to play with there wouldn't be that he over powers Dean -- he couldn't. Dean was a full demon as a Knight (correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while), whereas Sam would always be under the thrall of the blood. How much control and independence could he truly have in order to overpower Dean when he could not have said power without that blood? And the need for that blood? His desire for the blood that brings him to his knees and and wrecks him...

But the idea would be interesting. If you're into watching Sam struggle and Dean be...well Knight of Hell Dean. Def a dark fic.

That's funny because I can't imagine a better adaptation, if anyone knows his own character, based on his own sister then it's showrunner Geoff Johns. There's whole chunks of Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. in it, it's great.

I liked Undertale for its humor and charm but the over the top melodrama towards the end made me cringe.

Well, if they are anything like me, I don't even see WIP fic. I search only by completed fics. So you really are not courting people like that.

It may sound a little weird, but I'm happy you have a specific media that you can turn to in order to have a good cry. I always feel better after I have a good cry and there are some books and songs that are guaranteed to trigger the waterworks for me.

Ugh. Are they really trying to make it a thing? I write fanfic out of love for a series. I don't ever expect or even want to be paid for it, and I never intend to become a professional writer (the exception being if I hit the damn fandom lottery and ran into a show creator or something and they officially hired me to write... oh, and I'd have to chill the fuck out too :P).

I mean, I guess it isn't entirely unheard of. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead comes to mind (though Hamlet was written like 400 years ago). But idk if I'd want to see fic of varying quality by people getting paid to write for series I enjoy everywhere, all the time. Maybe I'm just an asshole, but I don't think I'd ever want anyone IRL knowing I write this kind of stuff. I know I shouldn't decide that for others, but I do worry about what it means.
