Yeah, sadly it's true. Go back and listen to the lyrics and notice how many of them are expressing negativity and resentment towards women. The ones I list in the background of my secret are just the ones I found most obvious. (I also don't think it's a coincidence that he covered "Baby Got Back".)

Thankfully many of his songs appear to be neutral. But that doesn't really ease my conscience.

If people have gone through the thought process that comes to the conclusion, "Golly gee, I think I'll be a scientologist," then why shouldn't we feel differently about them? Scientology is fucked up. Therefore, the people that support scientology must be fucked up. It's a rational conclusion. It can go the same with any religion, based on how fucked up you think the respective religion is.

163. WORD. I multiship like a mad multishipping thing in Merlin, because wow. It's almost freakin' canon that there's attraction and subtext between all the characters. I like the Merlin/Arthur fandom has thus far not slammed the women down (unlike, say, some other nameless fandoms), but a little more variety and love would be AWESOME. The whole Merlin Newsletter is just so one-sided, it's just sad

Yeah. I was a minority, top 5% in my class with a bunch of extracurriculars, and a triple legacy at Yale, but I still got rejected. I'm not bitter, I'm going to a great school now. But, that's just how it is with the Ivies and high-level schools like that. They just get so many ridiculously qualified applicants for so few slots that they have to turn away people. A lot of the time, it's sheer luck as to who gets in or not.
