I've gone back and forth over whether or not I have BPD. Since some of its symptoms overlap with autism, it can be hard to tell sometimes; but if it turns out I do have it, I'm never fucking disclosing that to my RL people - they recently had a friend with a BPD diagnosis die by his own hand, and I don't want to give them any reason to be hypervigilant over me. Is that a selfish way of looking at it?

Spay/Abort should be practice at every shelter. If you are a shelter that is allowing dogs/cats to give birth, you are a BAD shelter. I don't care if the animal is one day from giving birth, if you can get it into surgery do a spay/abort.

I suck so bad that I once tried cheating on my boyfriend and couldn't even do it because it was hooking up with a guy from out of town who didn't even have a place to stay. I definitely couldn't host him. I don't know what I was thinking.
...This doesn't even count how I was basically having phone sex and flirting with this guy nonstop when not with my boyfriend...
And seeing a sugar daddy on the side as well...

I know, I'm a mess. I regret all of it and am glad he never found out about all of that.

I was actually thinking of making one of these threads today, so thank you anon!

Personally, I'd prefer having a secrets community devoted to (social) media over fandom. There are a lot of secrets I'd love to make pertaining to things ranging from Instagram niches to The Atlantic (magazine) being a neurotic disaster.

I am irrationally angered by all the posts I see of people posting pictures of new pets asking the internet to name them. I hate them so much. And they just keep coming.

I'm back in the hole of 2023. I was doing so much better in the new year, but now I'm back to massively depressed, panic attacks all the time, barely functioning. Getting flack at work. People are noticing. But I just don't know how to help myself.

Life is good. I'm having a good time. I don't have any problems or pressing issues. My friends are cool. My family is chill. My partner is great. Work and hobbies are fulfilling and my lifestyle isn't exactly conventional but I'm at the age and financial status where I don't give a fuck and do what I want, at least to reasonable degrees. I wish everyone else could have this, too.

Ain't nobody wanna hear that shit.

I've never been on a date and I feel like I missed the window and it is too old to start now. I mean who wants to date a 42yo who has never gone on a date or been in a relationship?

I sleep with earplug in every night, and I reuse the same pair for like two years before getting new ones. I don't produce much earwax at all, but they do still get icky after a while. I continue to use them anyway. It's gross but I don't care. I have the (probably unfounded) belief that my own earwax coating them makes me less likely to develop an allergy to the material the way I did with the pink kind I used to use.

The older I get the more I realize how indoctrinated we all are in centering men, and it makes me angry and sad.

I keep wondering why seemingly subtle and small things seem to make me uneasy and I realize it's because I'm clocking in how I or my friends/peers center a man/men and how it fucks me/women over.
For example, I began to notice how one friend often showed off all the great things going on in his life but he never praised or complimented me or our other friends in our group chat when the rest of us showed off things we were proud of or excited about.
I then also noticed how enthusiastic I am in listening to his issues and giving him words of encouragement but he never really reciprocated.
It took me a while to realize that this friend, even if he's gay, still benefits from me being interested in his life because I am so used to supporting others in my life (especially those I care a lot about) due to the social conditioning of girls thinking of helping others and being invested in their life almost more than my own.
My friend is a guy and he doesn't have to think about how the women in his life show up for him and that he likely takes advantage of his position as a man without even really realizing that he can be rather shit at showing up for his friends because he wasn't socially conditioned to put others he cares for before him.

I have another friend who often says she's a strong independent woman who doesn't need a man...yet she often throws other women aside or does things to pit herself against other women when a guy comes around.
Even if it's not for romantic attention, she'll do things to "prove" she's better than the rest of us. Or she'll completely disregard women's experiences and place her trust and support on a man.
Not always but she does it when it's a man she's invested in.

Ansel Elgort? He's young and talented, he's made mistakes, everyone deserves a second chance.

Read as in finished? If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio and I absolutely fucking hated it. I don't know if I wasn't the target audience but man...

I am currently watching Fallout and have 2 episodes left and as someone who has no knowledge of the games I am enjoying it.

Read: Dark Heir by C.S Pacat. It was good. Pacat writes M/M trilogies that give me many of the things I love fanfic for, but with added original plots that are...actually pretty decent. NGL, I kinda wish I could find thirty other authors writing very similar things to what she writes.

Watched: Suits rewatch. I finally made it to the end of S2 which is where I quite last time, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna quite there again, lol.

Played: Uh...slitherlink? I don't game, but I love logic puzzles.
