I almost got my driver's license. The only reason I didn't is because I didn't have the almost 55$ for a license, but considering I took the D.ED course way back in sophmore year and now I'm in my second year of college (& still haven't applied to my transfer college of choice & it's too late for the fall semester but I was aiming for spring anyway), just finding the building and having the info made me happy.

AND MY PACKAGE JUST CAME YAY!

Looking for a new job (desk job or online)

I've been working at my current job for two years, but due to my front end manager up and deciding she wanted me gone, I've decided my time and effort at the job isn't worth giving anymore (it's a very long story, no I can't go to the higher ups, I've never trusted authorities to deal with this kind of thing because the problem is never solved, if anything someone will blab and it'll make the situation horribly worse. I'm just going to admit defeat and duck out, it's not even a stellar job or anything).

I've also decided that I just can't work with the public anymore, or at least, I'd like to avoid it. What I've always wanted was a nice desk job, maybe tucked away in a myriad of cubicles doing largely data input or the like.

But the thing is, I don't know where I'd find a job like that. Does anyone else here have any advice? I'm currently waiting until the vacations I've scheduled are over (I don't want to go about job swapping while juggling vacations), so I'm not in any huge hurry.

I'd like to apologize for inadvertently riling everyone up. This is kind of embarrassing. I didn't really consider my decision to delete my account through. I probably should have waited until my username wasn't on an active post. I was not internet bullied into deleting my account. :)

There are a lot of personal reasons at play, none of which I really need to drag out here. I just need to get my head back into survival mode right now and lately on good days f!s reminds me how lonely and disappointed in myself I feel and on bad days attempting to participate or even lurk only gives me even more material for all the negative thoughts I have about myself.

I really can't put into words how invaluable and amazing this community has been to me. You guys have gotten me through some pretty rough times, whether you know it or not, and I wish I had the internal fortitude to hang around. But even from where I'm at right now you guys give me hope and motivation to keep trying to be the person I want to be. Believe me, no one hopes I'll be back someday as much as I do.

I'm sorry for not being able to respond to everyone's comments and e-mails. I'm really touched so many of you think so much of me! Thank you for all your concern, kindness, well-wishes, and interest in my username. Someone asked me to leave my account undeleted so my username will be unavailable, which I've decided to do even though at this point this username is ironic on quite a few levels. You can still PM me there if you want to get in contact with me but I can't promise a timely response.

Episodes you like from shows you're not a fan of

It's easy to pick episodes you love from shows you love, but how about the times you've really enjoyed a specific episode from a show that you either don't like, aren't interested in, or haven't gotten around to watching thoroughly yet?

I don't care much for The X-Files, the premise doesn't interest me and the other episodes I've checked out aren't to my taste, but I loved "The Unnatural" more than every friendly-alien movie I've ever seen put together. It was one of my favorite hours of TV ever.

Also, Doctor Who is generally too cheesy and goofy for me to muster any enthusiasm about it, but I watched "Vincent and the Doctor" with my niece and nephew and came close to crying at how lovely it was.

(btw, I had to google both of these examples to figure out their episode titles)
