(I found a personalized "State Alchemist Certificate" I could get her, but I have no idea what some of these words mean. What the heck is an Alchemist title? They go by military ranks? Ugh, maybe I should've watched the show before I tried to do this.)

My sister's planning to visit...and I'm stressed

So my sister is planning to stop by and visit me. We're very close in age and I haven't seen her in a while (since I last visited my parents) and she's never dropped by before.

And holy hell am I stressed about it.

I know it's awful, but seeing her always makes me feel so terrible about myself.

She's super-successful in her field, has a wonderful boyfriend and tons of friends, great prospects in the future and is gorgeous.

I'm...not. I have zero friends. I'm on the ugly side of plain. I've never had a boyfriend (been on one whole date in my life). I have no social life. And I'm struggling so much in grad school that I'm afraid I'm going to fail out.

I just don't know what we're going to do while she's here. I basically just sit in my room online all the time when I'm not working/in class and have no idea how to entertain her. And I don't want her to realize how pathetic my life is.

Have any of you done this? What was your experience with it? I have been thinking about doing it someday. I really like building things, and it might be cheaper than buying one that is optimal for games. Though my computer knowledge is on the weak side, so I would have to do a lot of research.

Hi F!S, I was wondering if any of you have any decent recipes for lazy people.

The last month or so I've been pretty lazy with what I'm eating. I mean, I still go for walks everyday, but not so good on the food department. I just can't be assed to cook stuff, so I end up existing on bread rolls and sugary snacks and cups of tea. I eat way too much chocolate tbh. I've felt really tired and depressed lately, which isn't helping.

Yesterday I looked in the mirror and realized I look like the crypt-keeper. My wrists are twigs! I have eyebags on top of eyebags! D:

This has kind of worried me. What are some ways I can get some nutrition - like vegetables and meat and carbs and stuff - that doesn't take a lot of energy to prepare and I can pack and take with me?

It's fucking ridiculous to me how many debates and protracted in nerd&fandom places on the Internet just boil down to high school bullshit. Not even indirectly. Just people explicitly bitching about The Cool Kids. Between goddamn adults who are trying to be taken seriously, as well. Just endlessly recapitulating high school turf wars. Grown-ass adults who are just completely unable to see the world in any other terms. Fucking absurd and depressing.
