Griping about the weather

It is basically not going to stop raining outside now until mid-April, we don't have a tumble dryer, that means everything has to be dried indoors, so it is going to be like living in a broken sauna until spring. It'll either be hot and humid, or if it is warm enough out to not have the central heating on, it'll quickly become cold and clammy inside too. I hate this time of year, the damp is just awful. Damn you, guaranteed Atlantic Westerlies and chronic overcast clouds.

One of my friends is pregnant, with the baby due in July. After the baby is bon, she has one more semester at school until she can graduate.

Her plan is to, during fall semester, leave the baby with her mother, in a city ~1.5 hours away, and only see her child on weekends.

I get that it's hard to be a student parent, but? ??

Am I the only one weirded out by this?

It'd be one thing if the mom was helping take care of the baby during the day, but only seeing your baby, your child on weekends?

And like, this is just her proposed plan, it isn't actually fact yet, but I can't be the only one going "....what" to this, right?

So I just paid property taxes and homeowner's insurance and to reward myself and make my poor bank account suffer a bit more I was thinking of buying a vibrator or a dildo or something. Up till now I've mostly made do with my hands when playing solo, but I get off better with penetration. Anyone have any recs? Yeah, I know it's late, was gonna post earlier but I've spent way too long fighting my bank's shit website and the county tax collector's website. The Book of A Thousand Days OR Princess Academy by Shannon Hale

PA in particular can be easily dismissed because of the title, but Hale is an absolute genius at writing books that are technically YA but have a lot of nuance: they both have some really cool worldbuilding and unique ideas, and the protagonists are very interesting and likable.
