It was cloudy and rained here today, so we missed being able to witness it in my area :(.

I went out briefly around the closest we were going to get, borrowed some glasses, admired the tiny sliver of sun through the glasses, went back inside because it was 90some degrees out there.

I went blind.

I went out several times and saw parts of the begining and the end, but it got really cloudy right in the middle, so we mostly missed the peak (we weren't in totality anyway), but I caught a brief glimpse through the clouds and was shocked by how small the sliver was. I wasn't expecting 83% to be like that! Wish it had cleared up just a *little* then. It got really sunny later. Stupid sky.

I watched! I had partial but with good coverage (maybe 90%?) and was lucky to snag an extra pair of glasses from my folks, and to have a quiet enough afternoon that I could go outside for a while and look. There were a lot of people watching and I shared my glasses around a lot.

It was pretty cool!

I watched! Didn't get much work done between 1 and 4, but in my defense, neither did anyone else.

Got roughly... 90-95% totality? Somewhere in that range. Had the NASA-approved shades, and it was neat watching the crescent shift. Couldn't take a picture of the eclipse itself, but there were lots of trees with crescent shapes showing in the shadows on the ground. It was neat.

I didn't have anything to view it with so I took a nap, but I got up wondered if it was over, looked out the window at the sun because I'm fucking stupid sometimes, and fuck me.

I'm ok now, but it took a while for the orange spots to go away. It probably wasn't even the eclipse, just my stupid ass looking out the sun right after leaving a semi-dark room.

We had about 90% totality. I was amazed by how dark the inside of my house got! But now I have a headache even though I used the glasses.

It was clear here, really cool to see the crazy leaf shadows and thinning out water reflections. Some 90% totality, I was surprised how quick and long it got cold...the lighting and even colors were subtly eerie, too, but honestly I thought it'd get darker than it did. Definitely get why total totality's something to aim for...let people use my telescope, too - their "oh wow!"s were pretty great. :3
