That scene in The Fellowship of the Ring where Bilbo wants Frodo to let him hold the ring again and goes a freaky ring-crazy for a second. Everyone in the theater jumped.

Tanya Huff's Tony Foster books into a series (three seasons). Her The Fire's stone into a mini-series.

C.J. Cherryh's Cyteen into a mini-series (two 8 episodes long seasons).

White Rabbit and Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig into a mini-series each.

Katherine Addison's The Goblin Emperor into a mini-series

I'll probably get The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice at some point. There I'm hoping for four season of 6 episodes for the first and for the second to... just not suck and stop after Queen of the Damned.

Basically, give me all the mini-series and shows that don't go over 4 short-ish seasons.

I’ve already said this and it’s not like there haven’t been a multitude of adaptations already, but I would camp out for the midnight showing of Guillermo del Toro’s take on The Phantom of the Opera. And I remembered recently that there was supposed to be a French version starring Jeremy Irons as Erik, so I’ll just conflate them—unless Doug Jones wants the part instead.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going to hopefully be getting my new shelves tomorrow. I will also be playing some OW even though I don't really care about any of the skins. I might also watch some TV.

Going to see How to Train Your Dragon 3 tomorrow. Maybe seeing Aquaman again on Sunday (my dad wants to see Glass, Aquaman is only one I want to see playing at same time). Maybe. That was the plan, but I had a fight with dad and I'm not sure I want to go anywhere with him.

Besides that, hopefully lots of sleep. And watching Buffy.

Do you have any hangups with any details in your favorite canons?

Like, it will always be Fred Albus Potter, not Albus Severus. I just can't see Ginny accepting Severus as a name for her kid after what Snape did to her husband and her friends. And I just can't buy that Ginny would let Harry have all the names and just take one middle name and use it for a name of someone who was also a close friend of her husband. So Fred would be the first name.
