I like both characters individually very much - and while I would have been mostly neutral to it in comic context, the absolute shitshow of a romance that Whedon did in AOU can't be unseen and I just can't.

I was thinking I didn't have one because I don't tend to actually hate ships, at most I might find a ship annoying or kinda dumb(in my personal opinion), but I'm watching Stranger Things atm and my god I'd forgotten how much I hate Mike/Eleven or Mike/anyone for that matter because I can't stand him and don't want him to be happy. So there's my petty, irrational dislike.

John Sheppard/Teyla from Stargate Atlantis. They were trying to force it in that direction, and honestly it just wasn't necessary. It's not that they didn't have chemistry, it's just that they were much more interesting by far as friends and equals. To me anyway.

Joker/Harley, if it's portrayed as being romantic. There's NOTHING Romantic about those two, at ALL, and seeing people try to romanticise that is just a nope for me.

Any Cybertronian with a Human. Like...how will that work? Not just physically, but you also have HUGE age gaps, which comes with equally huge gaps in experience levels that just won't work.

Mulder and Scully as a romantic pairing, noromo forever

I love them as a non-romantic pairing but I just feel like Fox Mulder is not a person made for being in a stable long-term romantic relationship

Celebrimbor/Maeglin is my big Tolkien one. It started out as dislike, but the frequency of it randomly showing up out of nowhere in 90% of Celebrimbor fics made me hate it.

Sattler and Grant from Jurassic Park franchise. They are friends in my mind and don't work as romantic partners. Their friendship is so great. I just don't see romantic chemistry at all. I'm happy she got married and had kids with someone else, although I think she's most awesome on her own.

Worf/Deanna. Just doesn't work. I feel like he'd end up killing her if they had sex. And Worf/Jadzia is my Trek OTP.

Besides the already mentioned Bruce/Natasha, there is also Thor/Loki (both because incest and because it just wouldn't work), Steve/Sharon, and Clint and his wife.

Booth and Brennan from Bones because while I once shipped it, actually making it canon ruined both characters and made Brennan change everything about who she was and yet made him not change anything. It was awful.

Jon/Daenerys.

Not really. There are ships I won't read, but I've been in multiple fandoms for 20 years and I've never had one I hated so much that a mere background mention would ruin a fic for me, or I couldn't be friends with someone who shipped it.

Lan Xichen/Jiang Cheng.

I'm a Xichen/Mingjue shipper and I'll 100% admit that I'm just bitter that an obnoxiously pair-the-spares crackship is absurdly more popular than mine that has actual canon content that isn't just standing-next-to-each-other-in-a-room-sometimes. But I also get frustrated at how Mingjue gets tossed aside as a character by the fandom too. :/

- Oliver/Laurel from Arrow. Although really, I can’t say I’m fond of any of the so-called “Arrowverse” couples. The writers for those shows really had a way of writing relationships that just made me grit my teeth, even for pairings I originally liked in concept. But Oliver/Laurel is one of the only ones that rose to the level of NOTP, for me.

- Pete/Myka of Warehouse 13. I loved their relationship as a brother/sister relationship, but I loathed the idea of it being romantic. I guess, even though Pete was technically older, it really felt like they had a “exasperated but protective big sister/goofy little brother” dynamic going on. (Although to be clear, I’m not claiming it’s an incest ship, that’s not…..no.)

- Nick/Adelind of Grimm. Oh where do I start? Oh maybe with the fact that she raped him? Ugh ugh ugh what were you thinking, writers?

There are TONS of ships I will never, ever read fic for, but as long as I don't have to engage with the pairing, it's all fine.

All my actual NOTPs are rival ships, because I am extremely ride or die for my OTPs and the thought of them with anyone else makes my lip curl. That said, I still don't hassle anyone or anything like that. The very idea of rival ships may grate, but I'm also a fucking adult and I'm not gonna start shit.

Part of it is that I have a visceral loathing of Nagito to begin with, part of it is their canon interactions just aren't compatible with it at all.

So I'm trying to come up with UNIQUE ways to send a character to another world. My only rule is I wanna avoid death as a method. Basically the stories /series is supposed to be escapism and wish fulfillment.

As someone who has known friends who were suicidal I'd prefer not to send a message that death is an escapism. So give me what you got.

This could be the vent thread for whoever needs it, I don't know, I need it. But I have been SO annoyed the past few days over my Michiru secret (https://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/2623179.html?thread=1086200779#cmt1086200779) and everything that has happened. And I don't mean annoyed at what people said (some of it was even funny in retrospect, what was it? "you want people to lick your clit but don't deserve it"? "uwu cis straight baby girl"? Calling myself uwu babygirl from now on. Cute.)

Anyway, none of that was a problem and in retrospect, it was funny. What annoys me is the way in which I manage to not make myself clear sometimes. My head has been bad (sometimes I have unexplainable brain fog) and it wasn't just that secret, I picked fights with maybe 5 people online in 2 days. TWO days. It would be funny if it wasn't depressing. And I don't realize that is going on before it turns into a pattern and I have already angered too many people. In some cases I was actively TRYING TO HELP people (in my native language even) and angered them instead. Before anyone says it, yeah I have been seeking doctors and all as I feel my neuro issues may be getting worse. Happens sometimes. And then logical leaps and incoherent sentences happen. Actually I dropped 10+ things on the floor in 1 hour.

Anyway, I still feel bad and sorry that some people read that and jumped to a conclusion such as that I meant "butch/femme relationships are heteronormative". It was such a farfetched interpretation in my mind that I wasn't considering it at all. And then I tried to explain THIS and sounded "defensive" apparently. But I was really trying to defend myself from such a horrible/weird/whatever accusation and not let that shit escalate, as I would NOT consciously mean that. My point was that Sailor Moon for many reasons FEELS (... I used the word "heteronormative", not sure what word I should use. It feels SOMETHING.) to me. (And I finally wrote an entire essay on it to remind myself of why I feel that. Truthfully, still do. And I expected people to come at me because I know how Sailor Moon fans can be but "lesbians are heteronormative" is the road I died on???) And people seem to have assumed that it feels like that to me because of HaruMichi (?) as I worded it badly.

Anyway, if people have a personal issue with me that's on them, but I wouldn't want to anger or sadden anyone over something as stupid as that. It was really weird to read people saying things like "fellas is it heteronormative to be a lesbian" (... no???????????????????????) or "women who wear pants are still women" (???.. sigh .. ??) I am just really, REALLY confused and annoyed still at how misinterpreted I was, in a "*scratches head* huh???" way. And not even saying it wasn't my fault, actually acknowledging it was (really I know my issues I know it is). But it's just. A lot of things that wouldn't cross my mind that I was accused of while in a bad mental state. And then I heard that I was defending myself from accusations (of things I never MEANT) because I wanted brownie points. I felt worse about it all than I should, perhaps because what followed was me accidentally angering more people as one thing snowballs. I know I should get over it. I know I can't change how other people feel about me or think I am like. etc. But being accused of such horrible things feels terrible. I haven't been able to rationalize properly but I can still feel y'know. Which brings me to another point, the old "you didn't mean to say that but you said that". What the fuck. If I didn't mean it then I take it back??? Or push it forward to understand the underlying meaning instead of assuming (you coward, and this is rich coming from babygirl who wants brownie points). I hate how some people here hold against others words that they didn't think twice about. Sorry I am ESL, impaired and not a writer?

.. so yeah, just a lot of venting. (Hello circumstantiality and hypergraphia my old friends lmaoo.) There is not a point. (Apparently being polite or honest means I am asking people to lick my clit though, so: please don't.) Just feeling sad and venting. It isn't fair of me to feel angry at everyone in the world because of maybe a couple of ill-intentioned trolls either, but hey, it's going to wear off someday.
