Same! I don't really mind spoilers anyway, but especially with adaptations of something I like, I check to make sure the adaptation won't waste my time and enrage me.

In recent years there have been BIZARRE adaptations of Agatha Christie's *Ordeal By Innocence* and *The Pale Horse*, where the writer completely changed the story, removing all the cleverness of Christie's story and importing a lot of by-now-cliched grimdark nonsense. I watched an episode of the first one, then looked up spoilers and gave them both a miss. I have other, more entertaining versions of both in my DVD collection!

I am very picky on what shows I watch, so I'm actually happy to get spoiled on an ending. Saves me time! Reminds me of when my ex really wanted to get me to watch Star Vs the Forces of Evil...boy am I glad I dodged that one.

Shows with an ending where the creators don't want the audience feel good (sometimes you can also feel good about a sad ending!) are not entitled to my time. I don't think I miss out on anything. And I do not always spoil myself in advance, with some series, you can tell they are going to have a decent ending, if not satisfactory. But with the series I am unsure about, I never regretted spoiling myself.

I wish there was a happy medium between 6 episodes and the Asian habit of fifty-nine 1hr15m long episodes.

I am not fluent (my Japanese is sketchy at best, Korean is worse, and my Chinese is like... I know "I don't know" and that's it lol), so I have to watch with subs and I have the eternal ADHD struggle of only doing one thing at a time so it takes me a year to get through one show lol.

Complaining about people in Star Wars fandom bashing canon installments they dislike isn't *wrong* but it very much feels like a situation of closing the barn door after the horse has bolted.

At least they're not harassing and yelling at people who do dare to like other Star Wars content. At least afaik, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at Star Wars fandom doing anything at this point. But, yeah, my sympathy here is very low.

I wouldn't say he's more annoying, rather he's a different type of annoying but yeah, he's definitely very similar (as is the general makeup of two-boy-one-girl-one-white/grey-haired-teacher). And I say this as someone who likes the character (got bored with the manga though and don't follow it anymore).

I've never actually watched Naruto, but I'm aware of Kakashi -- don't know how annoying he is.

/BUT/ Gojo is definitely his own brand of annoying. Still love him, though. Hope you can escape it or find a show you do enjoy!

Oh no lol! I'm glad to hear that so far there's no pressure that you HAVE to watch. I've watched a few episodes and I've been enjoying it, but it was definitely not "This is amazing, must binge it!"

Now that everyone is expected to “binge” shows, and shows get canceled if they don’t get “binged” fast enough, having fewer episodes is a mercy.

While I appreciate the generally higher quality of shorter-format seasons, I am pleased that there are a handful of sitcoms that are good and there's twice as much to love.

My conservative mother loves ST and firefly. She definitely prefers the view on the Empire in the latter, having grown up in a socialist country which she hates. She's mostly into Trek for The Picard.
