I mean this is kind of C-net in a nutshell: it focuses on the pretty and not on quality so most of the shows are really, really fucking bad or just boring as shit. I tend to enjoy the costume dramas as they're allowed to be at least somewhat spicy and fun, but every single modern C-drama is utter dogshit beyond comprehension. To the point that even if I like an actor I won't touch their modern shows because I know I'll get bored in 5 mins.

Well, yeah, it's a genuinely heartbreaking flashback.

Personally, I think saying Ginny was fridged to give Kuma a sob story is rather reductive. Kumar's life was a horrific sob story before he met Ginny; if that's all it was the flashback could have just focused on Kuma's parents.

If Ginny was fridged for anyone, it was for us, the readers. She's the antithesis to Otohime - Otohime showed us that even the World Nobles can change and be redeemed. And now the Kuma flashback, including what happened to Ginny, shows us explicitly and amd in horrific detail that no, the World Nobles are completely irredeemable.

Incest is popular in fic and porn partly because most people would never want to do it in real life. The fascination comes from it being one of those ultimate taboos.

As for pedophilia in fic, it's been said before, but I think a lot of people overlook the fact that people often use it to work through things that happened to them. It's an exorcism, not an endorsement.
