The fact that a book can and DID destroy so many people with character deaths and other various...things is what makes HP so awesome. It will be as sad for him as it was for us, but I don't think I'd love the series as much as I do if JKR hadn't had the guts to make her characters die and take real, not-shitting-around risks.

I've read Watership Down approximately eventy-billion times as a kid, and recently I discovered it again via the audiobook.
