For the first three games, it gave me a feeling of real character development too- personally I found Jak 2 Jak the most attractive, but he does indeed age well, too. It kind of felt like a step backward in Lost Frontier in some respects, though.

Same here, minus the genderqueer part. Franky was one of my favorites. Now she's annoying and one-dimensional, and that's all she'll be remembered as.

But I don't get the "It should've been Franky instead of Grace" statement that everyone in the Skins fandom seems to agree with. Franky was horribly OOC before the crash. And if she'd been the one to die, the rest of the season would've been the others crying over her while she creepily pops up as a ghost. Fans would still be saying "gtfo Franky" every five seconds.

I must admit to agreeing with #1. There is plenty of material from what I see to give a great fandom. (I'm only on chapter 13 of Catching Fire). I can only hope that if the fandom does take off that it stays true to what it is and not some circus as I have seen some of the others turn into (LOTR, HP-I'm guilty on that fandom-).
