Does anyone ever feel this way

I've realized that one of my personal issues is that I can't stand to disappoint people. That can be a good thing, but it also can be a bad thing. For example, I feel bad for even disappointing people about fandom things. When I join landcoms, I hate letting down my team to the point that I'll do challenges when I should be sleeping. And right now I'm feeling horrible that I haven't been able to help out fire flight on Flight Rising this week even though real life stuff should be more important.

I continually beat myself up about things that I did badly years ago. And feel like a horrible person every time I let someone down even a little bit.

I'm not sure how to stop feeling this way, though.

What is something new you've learned recently?

Huzzah! I have a non-birthday weekend for the first time in like 4 weeks. So, I will hopefully be able to be as lazy as possible. The only things I hope to do this weekend are grocery shop, surf the web, and sleep.

I'm sort of on the fence. OTOH, it's great to promote commenting and other forms of appreciation for fanfic writers. She's reblogged some other posts to this end that were more tasteful - just bringing awareness to the fact that writers still like to get comments on old fic, etc. But OTOH, she seems very entitled. This will only add appreciation to BNFs (herself included) and what about all the rest of the days?

My cat, Cadbury does this thing where if I'm at my computer he will be adorably in my face annoying, refusing to just sit in my lap and cuddle no matter how much attention he seems to want, until I get up to do something. He will then immediately steal my chair. He did something similar today while I was on my exercise bike, and stole my bike seat.

In other news my parents decided to get a pet door for their dog, he refuses to use it, but the cat has been in and out several times. I had to walk over last night, and help them catch her to get her in for the night.
