I've rediscovered a lot of things recently that I'm able to appreciate more now that I'm older. We recently watched The Jacket; I'd last seen it like a decade ago, and while I liked it then, I think it's brilliant now.

I'm rereading a book series - Mistmantle - and i'm surprised that this was for children. Even some of the darker Redwall books don't compare to multiple regicides.

(has anyone else read them? I have all five but I can't find the last one and don't remember how ______ dies).

I've never felt sexually turned on before (don't laugh,) but today I had a dream, and I woke up with an intense feeling, and I realised what it was, and I hated it. I don't know how long I squirmed and rubbed, trying to make it stop. I hated it almost as much as I hate throwing up. I hope I never, ever have to experience it again (but I guess that's a futile thing to hope.)

Is that why other people always seem (to me) so desperate for sex? To make the feeling stop? Or am I nuts? The way everyone talks about it, it sounds like it's supposed to feel good?

I would like to gather your opinions!

On this really random question with very little context. I'm searching for a new job but am a bit directionless.

Should I try for a job that I know I could (probably) get in an industry that I know I'd find people to befriend and be paid pretty well but has nothing to do with my passion, or

Should I follow my dream and push for the job that I'm passionate about but may never be able to actually achieve and would very likely pay very little?

I love horror as a genre, but I hate gore and jump scares, and that appears to be 90% of every new popular horror franchise I hear about.

Does anyone have any recs for horror that doesn't rely on gory imagery or jump scares? I know it exists, but I've been having a real hard time finding it.
