I turn the light on in my bedroom, then I go sit in the garden and watch bats feeding on the moths drawn to the brightly lit windows. My friends don't understand, and the neighbors once reported me to the police as a prowler...and the cops didn't really understand either but they soon gave up caring and filed it under weird shit people do that isn't illegal per se.

I like to think of this one elephant deciding to take one for the team and take out the threat to the herd. Good elephant. I hope she is in elephant Valhalla even now, trampling on the balls of game hunters and drinking the sweet water of their tears. I can't be sorry about an asshole hunter losing the hunt for once. The element of danger is what all these hunters like to claim makes their hunting a sport, well every so often the fake danger turns into actual danger, and I cannot feel sorry over that.

I've been falling in love with older series (like 5-10 years old) on Netflix, but all of their fandoms are naturally either dead or in a deep coma by now.

Why, Netflix, why? Why would you make make me fall in love with shows like Lie To Me when there's no discussion to be had anymore.

So, for the 4th time PC World has replaced the main board in my laptop.

I have cover with them where if they decide it can't be fixed the give me a new one, and apparently if they can't fix it after 4 tried they right it off. Its actually been in 6 times now. Its been back and forth most weekends since March.

Three of those visits they replaced the mainboard, one time they replaced literally everything but the mainboard, and tried various other things on the other occasions. I got it back today. With another new mainboard.

Worked for 2 hours. Dead again. Turned out that even though I have the engineer notes for 6 different jobs, even tho I've seen the same guy at the desk 12 times now - who seems as embarrassed as hell about this - their system has only recorded me as having one previois repair, so no new laptop and no working fixes laptop either. Fucking expensive cover too, but even with that given the price of those mainboards I suspect they've lost money on this deal. Still won't replace my laptop, tho.

Edit: No, that's cowardly, I can't just make her out to be the verbally abusive one. Deepcunt is my current favorite term of endearment. Arsehole of the goblin is a bygone classic too.

So I signed up for the WIP Big Bang on LJ, because I wanted to finish a fic that's been hanging over my head for literally years. (I first plotted it out in 2010 ish.) It was a multiple POV thing, so I wrote the first few chapters, and then realized that I couldn't really write one of the characters I'd planned on having in a major role, so I reconfigured the plot for a different character, which required things to go somewhat AU and now it's kind of a mess.

But I've committed, and I don't want to fail.

Do you volunteer anywhere or with any organization?

If so, how'd you get involved? And how the heck do you find the time??

I really want to volunteer at a few places near me, but I am having a heck of a time fitting it in my schedule. They always want people at events that are going on while I'm still at work. But my job is sucking every little bit of energy and joy out of my life, so I feel like I really need to get involved in something that will bring back some good vibes. (Also currently looking for a new job, but that is very slow going.)
