How is adopted sibling incest universally condemned but childhood sweethearts ending up together are considered cute and romantic? Both grew up together and are not genetically related (so no risk for potential offspring). Either both are creepy or both are fine!

IIRC, he was pretty crass when as far as they knew, she was an incredibly naive woman who'd been married to him, and as the episode went on (before the reveal) it seemed she'd basically married him through coercion. That's also why Zoe gets mad at Wash.

I still remember the day when I was a book-loving kid that realized that I would never see a perfect adaptation of any of my beloved books. I learned to appreciate many adaptations, but always mourned the parts lost from the book.

Which is why this series has been so special to me. IT. WAS. PERFECT. It skipped nothing, it had full input from the author so where it made changes, it made sense and even improved on the original. The cast was fantastic, and the sets and wardrobe and every other part was done with such love for the material.

This show literally makes me feel glad to have lived long enough to see it.
The world has changed since I was a kid. A lot of it sucked, but we also got Netflix and people willing to try new things in different ways. Childhood!me just had to wait until I was 30.

So if I'm 60 when they remake the Harry Potter films with this level of excellence, I'll still consider it worth waiting for. 

I know now how wonderful the payoff for patience is.

I recently watched all three seasons of The Expanse (which is fantastic!). At the same time I'm also really into Blaqk Audio's most recent album Only Things We Love. Now I'll forever associate this character with their song OK, Alex.
I wish I'd know how to make pretty fanvideos. Or Blaqk Audio were popular enough someone would get the same idea.

Right? Like, even if you're not going to stand up to Luthor and let her out, why walk away completely? He wasn't making everyone leave, just not letting them let her out.

Unless there was some off screen implication that they tried to stay/come back and see her but he intervened thinking they would let her out?

I don't know, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't think it's necessary to tag for canon personality traits. Like it's in Luther's nature to lord over his siblings because he's 'number 1', and there isn't a moment in the show where he actually considers anyones opinion other than his own.
I get what you're saying, I don't read UA fic, but if I did I would prefer to read them getting along, rather be at each others throats like they are normally.
