A little can be pretty. Maybe as chapter subtitles. But it can easily be too much.

I think the eyes have more pronounced eyelids? Something about the eyes is definitely unusual. But other than that, it looks like fairly normal manga style to me.

So much to unpack here. Firstly, the show was apparently an eerily accurate portrayal of the inner workings of the government. (Hardly surprising as the bulk of it was based on real incidents that were divulged to the writers by high up civil servants.) I don't think they've taken any lessons, I think it's just how it was and largely still is. In the Thick of It is the modern equivalent and shows it as even more morally dubious than it was.

All that said, Humphrey is one of the greatest characters to ever grace the screen.

"full of tropes" - I mean, there's nothing wrong with that. Tropes exist for a reason and can appeal to various folks.

Personally, I enjoyed Naruto in the beginning, but all the increasing filler just turned me off of it.
