Skyrim modding

Does anyone mod skyrim? I'm at a loss with the lighting, everything is so contrasty and plastic. Dark grey things look white!

Do you have a lighting mod to suggest? Of know anything about these normalmap things and how to change them to not... Idk do some kind of overlay that sharpens and brightens the shit out of everything?
It's a vanilla skyrim except for some texture mods and a couple if custom npcs who draw off in game textures.

Who sometimes wishes space shows/movies would show more of the everyday life?

Like, I get it, it's supposed to be about space, but I want to know what their grocery stores look like. Especially if it's futuristic. I think maybe that's why I liked Firefly, there was a lot of "everyday" mixed in.

What's a fiction trope that you intensely dislike for no good reason?

For me, it's idea and stuff stealing. Like, when in Iron Man 2, people were trying to steal the suits. Or like in Chuck (spoilers) when everyone was trying to steal Chuck's Dad's info to make new Intersects (end spoilers). Don't know what it is about it, I just hate it. Skip past it all of the time.

I had my first child on 8th December, my daughter ^_^ I still can't believe I did it. Giving birth is at once the most normal and the most terrifying/difficult/painful thing in the world, as well as the most wonderful and humbling.

It's taken me this long to even have the time to look at fandom secrets. Starting to feel normal again. Yay!

Hair tips thread

I had a question about hair I wanted suggestions for, so I thought I'd make a thread other people could ask their own questions in as well.

I'll go first: I have really thick, curly hair that looks good and stays heavy and the curls hold together in defined locks on the day I wash it. But after that gets all light and frizzy and poofy so I can't wear it loose. Hair product doesn't work unless I use so much it gets all stiff and/or greasy.

I LIKE wearing it loose though, so I was wondering whether anyone had tips for how to finagle it to stay heavy and down and not get all poofy and light without washing it (especially in the winter, washing it every single day is not really an option).
