Cartoons of people who look like jellybeans. They're all over facebook. Please, find a new drawing style, cartoonists.

"The Babadook is gay!" No, it's not. It's a metaphor for someone's depression. Terrorizing a suburban mom doesn't make it gay, nor do all gay or bi people want to embrace the role of being some monstrous thing that disrupts "normal" society.

I thought the Babadook was gay thing was because it was accidentally listed at a LGBT movie on Netflix and that's where it came from? Not from the idea that Babadook was actually gay.

the "babadook is gay" meme came out of netflix accidentally putting babadook in the lgbt film category, it's not that deep

Fandom Friends

I'm 24, and I have a turning-18-next-month fandom friend. We've known each other through Tumblr for 3 years. At first I felt bad for writing her explicit fanfic prompts, but I also remember being 15-17 and reading really dirty fic written by adults too. I guess what I'm asking is, what's the cutoff? Obviously, I wouldn't befriend a 15 year old now that I'm 24, but was it wrong to do so at 21? How do you decide how much policing you do, if at all? I don't want to come across as a creep. (I'm female, if that helps.)

If someone is wearing a shirt that says "love wins" with a rainbow flag, is it fairly likely they're gay, or would straight people wear something like that to show they support the LGBT+ community? I have horrible gaydar and don't want to come out and ask but I also don't want to make a fool out of myself by asking out someone I have no chance with. I mean, at least I would guess they're probably not homophobic if they're wearing something like that and wouldn't get pissed off, but still.

So submitted pair for a rarepair thing, it got rejected. I went WTF, there's next to no fic on Ao3. So I sent a thing asking why it was rejected.

I was told there were over 1k tagged with it ok ff.net.

They sent me the link to the ff.net search.

With the EXCLUDE THIS PAIRING checkmark tagged. I mean, the fics that came up were very, very obviously not for that pairing.

I sent back a link to the correct search and the fact that there's only 20 fics that come up if you search it correctly. And it's obviously fics for that pairing.

What are the odds they come back with an apology and accept my pairing submission vs. the odds they get pissy at me for correcting them or refuse to accept they're wrong?
