113. Use post it notes- write small and you can get about a week per post-it.

123. Yea, no. Each has their strengths and weaknessess, but I find that you can easily get a good story ruined by bad art, and vice versa.

154. Sorry, I love Erika Moen's stuff. But I guess you can't have everyone like the same thing.

108: It's anime. All the twelve year olds are twenty. XD

111: Yul Brynner has that effect on people.

113: Why don't you just open up Notepad or Word or whatever the Apple equivalent is. It'd probably be less messy. Oh and lol paranoia.

117: You get flack for that? That's just stupid. What difference does it make?

118: LOL! I understand OP.

124: *seizure*

127: I don't know what it is so I can't comment on personality but I don't see how he's ugly and deformed.

131: Where do I get one??

133: CCS is love. Glad it helped you out OP.

136: You're not. It's why despite the fact Disney sequels are usually evil I like the sequel to this.

147: It took Twilight to help you figure out that vampires would probably be cold? That seems...odd.

148: I do not agree. I think she's hot either way.

149: Awww! I didn't know he left. That is sad.

156: King Giles...awesome!

157: Yeah fanfic taught me that too. Oh and Ford/Arthur love! Yay!!

162: Explain anyway. Not that the Riddler is awesome but explain.

165: Man, incest goggles would suck.

166: Everybody has guilty pleasures. Relax. You're okay.

168: I misread your bonus secret, and thought you loved the game more then you loved your sister. I did misread that right?

(Anonymous) 2009-02-24 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
168 OP: No, no, you misread that! I love the game more than she loves IT. :O

I agree with this secret so much. I love dark characters and I love Mai as such but FFS! Her "loving Zuko more than she fears Azula" is not enough to redeem her. What if Zuko decided to go evil again? Would she be okay with sacrificing her brother yet again?

Re: 103

[identity profile] kristenell.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
There were plenty of people who liked her well before Boiling Rock, and didn't have much need or see a need for her to be "redeemed", By the time she saw her brother, there was no reason to believe he was in any real danger from the trio, and she knew there could be if she stepped off Azula's trail. So I hardly see how she "sacrificed" him. Was it the most compassionate judgment call? No, but it wasn't really all that monstrous considering the circumstances.

136. Oh, SIGNED. They had wonderful chemistry, and I loved that Quasi didn't get with her at the end. It would've made it tacky and overly sentimental.

Hunchback is my favourite Disney film :'D

139. Because of this song I finally looked it up.

Not the most beautiful song in the world to me, but I can totally see WHY it would be to someone. It's a very, very pretty song.

149. OH GOD FUCKING DAMN IT

103) *sighs* You know, this comes up a lot in certain parts of fandom and I remain TOTALLY UNCLEAR as to what people expected Mai to do? As Azula explicitly says during "The Boiling Rock" (seconds before trying to kill Mai with a bolt of lightning) there are consequences to going against Azula's wishes. Once Azula made it clear that she wasn't going to allow the exchange to go as planned, what do you want for Mai to have done, precisely? Run over to get Tom Tom, only to have Azula shoot her in the back? Try to argue with Azula, who would have then incapacitated her and gone ahead with her own plans?

Mai had no reason to believe Aang or the others would hurt her brother and EVERY reason to believe Azula didn't give a shit what happened to him either way. I think it would have been both stupid and OOC for her to have made some pointless, boneheaded move in that scene to contradict what Azula wanted.

BUT HEY! That's just me.

128) Now I'm wondering what AU's you're reading! ^_-

154) Erika's one of the nicest ladies in the comics community, and I personally enjoy her work very much. I only hope no one's cruel enough to tell her about this secret.

Yes. This. I said the same thing farther down, but I have always wondered what people have always expected Mai to do. If she went against Azula, everybody was in danger, including her family.

113. Jot them down on wordpad as you go! Then you can close it and save nothing and one one will ever know 8D

117. Sweet Hellboy! I'm be honest, I get kinda put off when someone announces they're Catholic mostly because of experiences (my relatives, ugh x.x) but I would never attack and diss someone for being Catholic. Heck the ones I have as friends are awesome people.

123. I gotta say, it really depends on the story being told.

131. XD I actuallt know exactly how you feel with my fandom jackets...I'm like "lol tacky fangirl" then I throw on one of the jackets and think I'm a bit more 'all that' than everyone else. I'm not, but it sure is a nice..weird confidence boost!

It's not just Mark, it's Roger, too. Bisexuality exists. :) Plus, depending on the actors you see in the roles, some are simply slashier than others. I've seen some really gay Marks and I've seen some really gay Rogers. Then sometimes I'm going, "Wow, the Life Café waiter wants in Mark's pants like whoa".

Plus, I've witnessed the actor playing Mark cry out loudly for Roger during Contact. Maybe not the greatest moment in theatre I've be witness to, but one of the most notable. Cue the laughter. Double cue the laughter because Michael Greif was there that night. :D

115 - Why, so they can desert you the moment you tell them you love them? 8D

121 - Why is this a secret? Is it embarrassing?

137 - o_O How is that acting male? I'm a guy in fandom. I post on anon memes on occasion because they're meant to be anonymous. Anyway, missing the point of this secret, obviously.

148 - I think she makes a really horrible blonde.

150 - I don't think that people who hate yaoi necessarily have anything against gay rights or homosexuals. I do think that many yaoi fans give the entire genre a seriously bad name. But I will always fail to see what's so "wrong" about liking slash, either. I mean, everyone has their preferences, right? The wars just get so OLD.

165 - I gave up on pretending that I don't like fictional incest. Really, I just don't care who judges me for it anymore. (I have yet to experience the IRL slash goggles, though - let alone incest ones.)

136. You're not. Phoebus/Esmarelda is adorable, and I'm pretty sure Quasi was supposed to be a teenager (in the movie, anyway, no idea about the book).
139. I will admit this-- I am a huge music nerd, and mostly I find Coldplay unendingly boring, but that song never fails to give me goosebumps. It is one of the saddest, prettiest things I have ever heard.
140. Sometimes I wish I'd just finally go mad and start believing the things in my head are real, because it would be less stressful than college.

101. IA. I hate that everyone dissed QoS, because I really liked it.

113. I write 'em down too, usually on paper--I think it looks sort of enigmatic and I always imagine my roommate seeing a Post-It with "4, 17, 39" on it (or, you know, whatever numbers) and wondering what it is. ;) ...I think that's lamer than being paranoid about someone guessing, tbh.

121. That's better than belting it out at a glass-shattering level...which...I certainly don't do, or anything.

124. AARGH WTF MY EYES.

139. I quite like it too. Coldplay haters can suck it. (I saw them on their "X&Y" tour and it was awesome.) I made a graph for GraphJam.com based on that song and I thought it was funny, but apparently they didn't agree. *tear*

150. I'm a slash fan, but I definitely agree with the part about male relationships only having meaning if they're ~doing it~, because I feel like that trivalizes it in some cases. I feel like friendship can be so much deeper than romance, so I can't ship Harry/Ron or Frodo/Sam because I feel like that...cheapens them, or something. (In other cases, though, it makes their connection better. Sirius/Remus, ahoy!) And I definitely agree with the OOC thing--it doesn't count if it's OOC, because then it's not true fanfic, you know? You're not keeping true to the original author's vision and just extending it, you're just making up your own shit. Which is OK, but then don't call it fanfic.

159. I hear ya.

Saying no would have gotten everybody into trouble and honestly, even though Aang was their enemy, I'm sure she knew her brother was safe. She does give a sideways glare to Azula also. She didn't really want to 'sacrifice' her brother, she just had no choice. I really wonder what people would have done in her situation.

P2 secret. ♥♥♥

From what I've played so far of EP, I ship it (but then again, when it comes to P2 I kind of ship everything, so that's not saying much).

154. *throws gloves down* Oh, it is on!

162. I actually want an explanation. You have tickled my curiosity.

I'm copy-and-pasting an earlier reply. Lessons learned: If you don't want to explain, don't mention explaining it.

Riddler doesn't care about what people think about him. He's a grown man that dresses in a bright green suit with question marks to commit crimes revolving around riddles. He's egotistical and self-centered.

Enter me. Nervous, shy, constantly worried about what people think about me. Yet I have a strange fashion sense, and an odd personality.

Through extremely odd circumstances (which detailing would make Obvious to friends' list), I found myself pretending to be Riddler. And I found myself talking to people, because I was in character. Riddler isn't shy, so why should I be shy? If they're going to judge me, they're probably going to do it just by looking at my ridiculous appearance, so the way to get people to like you relies on what you say and do after that first glance. Because if you stay silent after the first impression, the first impression is all that they know of you.

IN OTHER WORDS - Riddler taught me how to make friends and talk to people by getting me to talk to people.

I have not seen more than three episodes of Buffy, and I still call him Giles. And he does look great with the circlet on, doesn't he?

Awwww, poor Yosuke! Although I'm guilty of writing him that way on occasion too. Bless his heart, he's a 17 year old boy and he just wants to get laid!!

Replace "slash in fanfic" with "het in anything" and make it "a relationship between a man and a woman is only meaningful when there's sex, physical desire or romantic feelings" and you've got my exact feelings.

145. Lol that is indeed very disturbing, and the worst thing is : now I can't get the image out of my head >___<

161. idk, I'd just want a Troy if he sang 'Bet on it' to me every time I'm sad (with the little dance moves) to cheer me up !
No, more seriously, I think that their romance, despite being in a teenager movie and thus greatly idealized, is pretty close to reality, and I understand how you feel. Keep hanging in there, no one nows what's in store for you ! ♥

are you for real? aelgkhdkl it is so they get less attention, so there is less chance they get shut down or get a cease and desist order. how do you not get this?
