Lots of use of the word "shame"

I'm not a troll. I just see this word "shame" thrown around on this forum a great deal and I wondered when it became the terrible thing it is portrayed to be now.

Why is there such a backlash against "shame", do you think? A little of it keeps people from making bad/ill-advised choices or making them in public. Why is there such an outcry to eradicate shame from our emotional lexicon?

I'm eating cheddar with habaneros in it at the moment and I'm sweating like a sinner at church because of it. It's good cheese though. Damn good cheese.

My question, when was the last time food has made you feel pain? Be it too hot, allergic reaction, food poisoning or just plain old too spicy?

I just finished eating fresh salsa with what felt like three whole jalepeno peppers chopped into it.

My mouth feels like it got flame-sterilized. Totally worth it. :D

Pretty much everything. I had to stop and really police what I read because written porn, if written well, can turn me on seemingly no matter the topic. (Thanks SPN fandom for helping me along with that discovery. :\ )
