Hey... so... maybe I forgot to have anything this week. The good news is, I got so much stuff I've forgotten to show, I was still able to pull this out!

Childhood Trauma night! The stuff that'd freak you out as a kid cause your parents didn't know not to show it to you! (or you had interesting parents)

It's confusing artsy-fartsy tale about a conquered humanithy being used as the pets of aliens! My parents bought it for me as a kid! There was blood, sex, and nightmare death machines mowing down uppity humans who didn't know their places! All this and alien drug use in... Fantastic Planet!

Still Failing at Life: On this chapter - Broken Friendship

I've been going through a rough patch lately (I don't know if you have seen my latest posts here), but basically, a friend just called me after a week of radio silence to tell me he doesn't want anything to do with me anymore.

I know I haven't been the best friend ever. My memory is awful, and it gets terrible whenever I'm stressed. The more stressed I am, the worse it gets. I honest to god cannot remember important things, like whole conversations, and dates. Sometimes it's like some stuff never happened, for me. Thus, after a sucession of spectacular failures of me as a friend with this guy lately, I forgot one big important day: He was going to get a paper published on the university magazine and he had invited all of his friends, including me.

It had been his birthday last week, too, and I had to leave early because of my mom. To add insult to injury, I had been having a fight with my SO before going to the party, and she kept pestering me via whatsapp. He noticed that too, and was (rightfully) offended.

I know I screwed up and presented him my apologies, but he didn't accept them (and I know he wasn't obligated to do so). He has good reasons to be very mad at me. The only thing I can say in my defense is, that my current mental illness makes every relationship really difficult, my anxiety blocks me from keeping in touch like a normal person would and remembering important stuff and-- well, no, I should have known better than to make those mistakes, because since I already know what difficulties I have I should have done a better work on preventing this.

I let him go. If he's mad at me, there's not much I can do to change his opinion. I wronged him. It's just... It's really depressing. He has been my best friend for twelve years. I don't know what will I do without him.

You'll get over this. You'll find ways to make your life work. It doesn't feel like it now, and it likely won't feel like it for a long time. But it will happen.
