Belated Halloween gift! This is a super-rare offering by a group that no longer exists and I'm pretty sure the label is like, one or two guys in the Northwest Territories. I couldn't find the album anywhere so I had to order it, and then I had to wait for the thing to get in the mail. Would have posted it the day I got it but I didn't actually get to the mail until after F!S had posted, and then I was a little busy on Sunday, so here it is now!

so what kind of things are A Big Deal in your family? The kind of thing where as you grow up you start to realize "Oh...not everyone is as nuts about X as us?" Be it food, media, sports....


My family is very serious about sci-fi. It's almost like a right of passage, what you can read and watch when. Like watching The Phantom Menace when you're 10 and the original trilogy when you're 13. We also all waited impatiently for the various book series; you could read Junior Jedi Knights when you were 7 or 8, then Jedi Apprentice series, Young Jedi Knights, Dragonback series, Artemis Fowl Series, various Star Trek and Star Wars novels. (we were all kinda chicken, so our parents vetted them based on level of sex and violence...Timothy Zahn's are amazingly clean, so you can read those first, etc)

I noticed something that bothered me

A friend of a friend of mine showed me a list of infamous people on ED that they thought was hilarious. they pointed out to me that a lot of them had 'autism" (which again they thought was hilarious :<) . I read it, and I probably shouldn't have because it made me feel bad. I know some people with the disorder (and I have it mildly) who are very close to me and very sweet people. Seeing that person regard them as a joke bothered me.

Words you always mispronounce

For me it's 'Brigadier', every time without fail I read it as "Brig-aid-er" instead of its real pronunciation.

Sibling-related rants

So. My brother would probably consider my relationship with him is 'rocky'. The reality is I hate him. I don't what to hate him, but I despise him so bad that in general I hate things that he likes.

He's the kind of person that needs to sour everybody's mood when he himself is in a bad mood. He's really smart, but has he often talks dripping with condescension. He's a petrol head and he generally makes me wary of petrol heads because he's so obsessed with car performances and that leads to torturous car rides where he'd seemingly be consumed in road rage, especially when he gets overtaken. He'll then drive so fast just to 'get back' at the cars that overtook him. I'm half scared he'll hurt himself/other people/me/my mom with how he drives most times.

The thing with ended up hating things he love is weird, I admit. but true. So I hate cars/petrolheads, I hate Liverpool FC, I hate Google (because of a lot of shit they pulled about YT and shoving G+ on people's throat, but also cause my brother is such a Google evangelist), I hate the kpop girl/boy bands he likes, etc etc.

it's actually a bit exhausting and I wish I can be more flippant about him and not sitting here in resentment.
