I'm mildly confused by how half of these characters fit the state picked - I mean, Nebraska for Hercules? How?

and personally, not surprised with who Jersey got since I believe they made a big deal with her being from Jersey when she got announced

Well, I'm not American, but we got our own variant.

Deadpool...well, I suppose he is Canadian, and more prominent than Alpha Flight, and I don't dislike him (not as much of a fan as a lot of people are, but...he's fun enough)...so, sure, it works.

Greetings, denizens of Fandom!Secrets! Anyone remember when I used to do this every week? Neither do I. I'll be honest; I've mostly lost interest in this comm, but I decided I wouldn't let that stop me from doing a post for the first Thursday of 2017!

Fanfic Writer's Block

I'm on winter break from college, and I finally have time to write things for fun, but I can't seem to get into it. I really want to write fic, but I can't seem to get into the mood, and the things I've been posting haven't gotten a lot of attention because the fanbase is too small/not very active anymore.

What do you guys do to get out of a fic funk? What do you do when you know who you want to write about, but you don't have any scenarios for them? Or where do you get inspiration for fics in general?

I've decided to document my progress on learning Japanese! I'm gonna be writing about it in my journal, and even Plurk, if I remember about it lol. I've already written my latest entry!

Is there anyone else here learning Japanese, or even another language, that would like to be my buddy in this? I really don't want to give up once I go back to Canada in February, so I'm gonna make it a habit to set up a goal for myself each week.
