I'm so sick of the way people act around death

Death is not something sacred. It's a fact of life, everyone is going to die someday. It is not always sad and it does not magically make shitty people into untouchable saints.

A right-wing political commentator died yesterday. I'm really into politics, so on the sites/accounts I follow, it's really hard to avoid people talking about it. Even democrats/liberals she was awful to are saying things like "we disagreed about politics, but she was a nice person". I just don't understand why they feel the need to lie. I saw and heard the things she said with my own eyes and ears. She worked for Ted Cruz, for fuck's sake! She was not a fucking nice person! She was a cruel person who supported policies that actively make life worse for anyone who is not white, straight, Christian, and rich like she was. She victim-blamed a 10 year old who was raped. She was a piece of shit, and there is a tiny bit less evil in the world now that she's gone.

I'm feeling pretty lonely this evening! I talked to my mom and she's having a fun sleepover weekend with my great niece, and my niece sent me an old video of us playing dumb party games together, and I just can't help but think about how lonely I've been recently. :(

Job location

How important is for you job location? I had a job interview and I am realizing yet again that it's my number one priority. Payment was ok, but could be better for my position. It's not really prestigious place, it's not super interesting work-wise (I prefer to do a bit different work in my profession). But damn if I am getting an offer I am taking this job because location is A++.
