General comments:

Bioshock Let's Play recs

I just watched a really cool video for Bioshock Infinite (I will link in a reply) and I was hoping if someone could recommend a good Let's Play/Walk Through of the Bioshock games.

I would prefer people who don't have annoying voices (no pewdie) and are at least a little funny. Also no speed runs. I want to see content. The only Let's Play I listen to are Rooster Teeth, Robbaz, and Agent JR, and none of them have Bioshock.

Or if you have any great Let's Play channels you follow, I'd like that too. But I really want some Bioshock ones.

How to Make Friends and Not Alienate People

I say things in a way (blunt and kind of impatient) that would be fine with close friends, but come off as hurtful to casual aquaintences (spell check can't help me now), even if I don't mean it in a cruel way, I know that it doesn't matter because someone felt hurt by what I said.

Hello F!S! I was looking for a short story, and someone said it might be this one. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to get my hand on it in my RL to check, and I'm afraid to buy one of the anthologies it's in, in case the other stories aren't that good, especially since I'm only buying it to see if this one story is the one I'm thinking of. So, I was wondering, do any of you maybe know if any of either of the anthologies it's in are worth reading/buying ("Children of Infinity" being one and the other being "Beyond the Stars: Tales of Adventure in Time and Space"), or a place I could maybe download just a pdf of the short story?

Fandom Anxiety

I recently rejoined fandom after about a decade away, and it was great at first. Better than great, actually. I made friends with some awesome people, I've been writing some very well-received fic, and I was generally having the time of my life. I've never in my whole life gotten such a positive response about anything I've written, and now I've suddenly got actual *fans* (they call themselves that, not me).

I just finished writing a sequel fic to one of my 2 best known fics, and the anxiety I have surrounding it is crippling me. I'm terrified that it's not good enough for the reputation that I've gotten, and it makes me want to just delete all my accounts and hide.

I really love fandom, and there was a part of me that always wanted to be fandom popular or whatever, but now that I am, it's making me want to hide under a rock.

What the hell is wrong with me, fs? :-(

Expectations aren't easy to live up to. Maybe if you wait a little bit to post the story or even have someone read over it you (and possibly your readers) might be more objective about it. Sort of give the anxiety time to fade a bit.
