So a couple days ago I asked what is something you hate that everyone else loves. Give me the reverse of that.

For me it is chewing ice. Everyone I know hates it. And this isn't like "Ice at the bottom of the cup" chewing. Sometimes I will get a piece of ice from the freezer just to chew. Yes I know it is probably bad for my teeth. And yes, I try to just do it when I am along because people hate the sound.

Question about a problem at work.

Okay, so I'm a cashier at a food store. Been there for almost 7 months now, and everything's fine.

Except this one customer who seems to hate me for some reason. I have a feeling it might be because they think I'm younger than I am, but I'm not sure.

Basically, they talk to me like I'm dirt. They constantly demand I get someone else to open a till for them to be served, even though I'm only supposed to do that when there's a large queue of people (they normally do it when there's only two or three people in front of them). Their tone when they speak to me is always harsh and condescending, as though I don't know how to do my job. And today as I served them, they called me stupid for no reason.

My question: do you think I'm justified in going to my manager about this? They're a regular - come in three or four times a week. And they only do this to me - they joke around and are polite to the other staff.

I'm not sure if I'm overreacting. Because it upsets me every time they come in and I'm on the till. It's really stressing me out. And I've tried to ignore it, but it's just got worse. They've been like it to me for five or six weeks now. Is talking to my manager (who is lovely - I get on with them fine) something I should do in this situation?

(Note: I'm polite to them and offer the same service to them as everyone else, even when they upset me or anger me, and they are literally the only customer that treats me like this. I can't think of a single thing I may have done to provoke the dislike).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Talk to your manager. Dealing with stuff like this is their job. Tell them your problem, and worst case scenario nothing changes.

For some reason it really pisses me off that USA now has three shows with lead characters who go by Michael/Mike. DON'T YOU KNOW ANY OTHER NAMES, YOU ASSHOLES???

LOL What are the 3 shows? I know Burn Notice, that's about it.

Shows with male hero characters all tend to have the same name though, like think about how many shows have characters with the name Jack or John.
