Since I was a teenager I've wanted to make a webcomic. I've had many, many ideas in the past. my art is at a point where I'm very pleased with it. I now have an idea I love, characters I can see working and more than enough plot twists. But I keep making excuses! "I'm too inexperienced", "I've never drawn anything with panels before", "I don't know how to write or pace a story" "I'll ruin my own ideas", "I don't have time"... All lame excuses. The truth is I'm afraid of investing myself on a project and see it fail. I'm afraid of criticism. I'm lazy.

How not to sell a car

Well, one of the ways to not sell a car is when you've got someone booked in to go on a test drive is to give them a demonstrator model that when you turn the key all the warning lights come on and do not go off at all throughout the test drive. Yeah, that totally sells the car and your stock and general credibility to me. So, that was the VW dealer. Who probably gave the Nissan dealer on the other side of town the easiest sale of their life.

Seriously, if you cannot take the time to make sure the demonstrator model is in working order how can you expect anyone to believe that you care about the product you are trying to sell? That is like running a cake shop and everytime someone asks for a sample you send them home with a little slice of human shit in a cardboard box.

Anyone has a cutesy, smoochy fic to rec? I love descriptions of caresses, hand holding, hair ruffling, things like that too. Slow build up and lots of introspection are a definitive plus.

Fandoms are Supernatural (Sam/Dean or Dean/Cas), Avengers (any pairing, slash or her), Homestuck (ditto) and Adventure Time (P-Bubs/Marcy or Prince Gumball/Marshall Lee, though I've never read an AT fic before). If you can think of a good one outside of these, I'll take them :)

What are yours like, an how would you like them to be?

Usually I sleep about 7 hours an wake up with an alarm clock. Ideally I would love to be able to wake up without an alarm clock, but I need to wake up at 6 am, so I probably need to go to bed earler for that to happen. I would also love to be able to lucid dream... I'm starting by just trying to remember and write down my dreams each morning, has anyone ever had success learning to lucid dream?

hey all. my best friend is living in japan right now and we want to send each other packages between countries (I'm in america). I asked her what kind of stuff she wanted and she said "sweets," but after a few different attempts to get more specific requests (her english isn't the greatest of all time, plus she's not that focused of a person anyway), I've given up trying to get out of her what kind of sweets you can't get in japan. I know I've heard of people around the internet swapping packages with foreigners, so I wondered if anyone here knew any kind of candy/junk food that can't be purchased in japan but can in america? any links to such lists would be appreciated too if you've ever come across one; a few internet searches got me nothing.
