Hilariously Angsty fic

Did anyone else used to be addicted to overly angsty fic when they were younger? Back in the day, the Harry Potter fandom was the ruler of this (I think some might argue that LOTR claimed this dubious title, but I think HP fandom dominated just because of the sheer volume of pure angst they put out).

I remember one Draco/Harry fic that had Harry working at Hot Topic (ignoring the fact that the UK doesn't have them) and naturally he was being horrifically abused 24/7 by the Dursleys. When he got back to Hogwarts his friends cast a spell on him that would reveal what his "soul's song" was and it was some evanescence song that made every character in the room cry about how sad it was. Obviously evil!Dumbledore was thrown in. It was so bad an yet I wish I could find it again for nostalgia's sake

Anyone else here looking at semester finals for high school or college this week or next?

What classes do you have tests in? Any where you have a project or paper instead? Which ones are you nervous about? What should you be studying RIGHT NOW instead of being on Fandom Secrets?

I have exams in zoology, organic chemistry and cell biology. I'm pretty stressed about all of them - they're all very information-heavy classes, and I've fallen behind in them. Fortunately I don't have any tests until Thursday, so I have a little more time to prepare. I should be going through chem right now (I have a method for working through the material) but my roommate covered up the coffee table (the place where it's easiest to spread out my shit) with her craft stuff, then vacated the room for long stretches of time and still isn't done with it after like four hours. I guess I should just go to my room, which is way less comfortable, but...semester grades don't take excuses :(

I hope I do well enough to not have to retake anything this semester. I'm supposed to be graduating in May and I want to get the hell out of Dodge.

Sometime after finals are over I'll make a post about my general feelings about college and the inanity of the American university system since I think a lot of people can relate.

So, somebody on Tumblr linked to the comic Jeremiah by Cathy G. Johnson. (http://www.jeremiahcomic.com/) They were talking about how deep and great it was. I read it and now I'm just like "what happened there? What does it mean? What does the wolf have to do with anything? How's everybody related? Can anyone explain it to me?

I don't think what he did should be considered sexual, but I was talking with someone about it and they agreed with the school. What do you think? I feel really bad for the kid, since that's going to be on his record.

Music shuffle!

Put your library on shuffle, list the first five songs and give us your opinion on the songs selection. Mine:

1. Tired, Matchbox Twenty
2. Rattlesnake Smile, Kane
3. Feel Like Home, Fort Minor
4. Accio Deathly Hallows (acoustic), Hank Green
5. Cradlesong, Rob Thomas

It's a decent selection. I have quite a bit Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas/Tabitha's Secret, so I'm surprised to see it pop up twice. And genre-wise it covers alternative, rap and the smattering of country-ish music that I have, but it really drops the ball on my selection of pop and rock. But really, short of replacing Rob Thomas and adding a slot, I'm not sure how I'd get that, since Accio Deathly Hallows also fits the genre of weird comedy-type music that also encompasses Weird Al and The Arrogant Worms. So, in the interest of further testing of my shuffle, I'ma expand to 10 and see how well it does. (Feel free to just do 5 if that's all you want to do)
