I've never told anyone this, but one of the main reasons I got a dog was so that I wouldn't kill myself. It's worked. I adopted him when he was 5months and he turns 7 this year. Sometimes I resent having him because I still get this thoughts about dying and I can't because he needs me, but mostly I just love him so. I worry about what will happen when he dies. He's a medium size mutt so should have a pretty good life span but still I worry.

I can't read the threads where people complain about people with mental illnesses.

There's plenty to complain about and the first post is usually valid and I sympathize but there always end up being people who go too far and reinforce the negative stereotypes that my brain is constantly reminding me of.

So I just ignore them now.

Unless they have or knows someone who has had tragic or otherwise unfortunate pregnancy complications, I just want to tell people who get freaked and/or grossed out by pregnancy in general* to grow the fuck up.

* Not BEING pregnant, I get why the being pregnant or the idea of personally becoming pregnant can be freaky or gross, but this whole "OMG, I saw a pregnant person (or worse, character) - BLAAARF!!! *has shakes*" bullshit is childish.

I can mouth off to people I don't know like anyone else, but I almost got physically sick after confronting a friend when they said something I disagreed intensely with and was disturbed by. I get physically ill and go into breakdown mode when someone I'm friends with is mad at me or yells at me.


I wish I had more guts.

Kind of a fandom secret, but not really a secret: I sometimes regret going to places like smogon and finding out how best to train my Pokemon. I used to just go, 'Gosh that Pokemon is adorable, I want it on my team!' but these days the first thing I evaluate Pokemon by is their stats. 'Yeah that Pokemon is cute, but it can't do anything with that defence stat!' I mean, it's opened up a new world for me, I love my friends, I love Pokemon even more, but I feel silly when somebody asks me 'What's your favourite Pokemon?' and I go 'Greninja! Just look at that amazing speed and special attack!'

When I was chopping carrots for dinner this evening, the knife blade ran directly down onto my finger, and all that happened was a little bit of skin being grazed off. There isn't even any blood. For some reason, I'm shaken because I can't understand how that could happen without anything worse resulting. It's like the laws of physics were defied.

It hurts my feelings and upsets me when people don't respond to my messages/emails, since I'm generally the type of person who likes to actively communicate and keep up with my friends. But I've taken to purposely ignoring or blocking people I don't want to talk to, generally people who message me too much. I am a hypocrite.

I have no strong religious convictions, but sometimes I worry the views I do have are all wrong, and that I'm letting God down.

Yes, I know how irrational this is. God clearly made me the kind of person who can't choose where to go for dinner much less what Church (or any house of worship, for that matter) to go to.

I'm just kind of fed up with life. I don't want to kill myself, but I'm having problems coming up with a point to living. I'm supposed to be at a stage where I have the beginnings of a career and a family (or at least a partner) and I have none of that. It makes me more frustrated than anything else, and sometimes makes me wonder if I shouldn't just give up on all this ....maybe the effort isn't worth it.


Blah. Come back, motivation.

I can't stand when straight/white/cis/men help circulate anti-straight/white/cis/male jokes/posts. I have no problem with the existence of the jokes/posts. But I don't think white person (for example) ever helps anything by spreading a "lol yt ppl" post. I can't see it as anything more than self-backpatting and trying to get themselves a voice in a non-white space by showing that they're better than "normal" white people.

There are three things that I haven't come out to my family about, being gay, being trans*, and being religious. Of those three I'm most terrified of coming out about my religious belief, because my parents are those smug-athiest asshole type people.

All I have eaten today is crap. I had a sugary coffee and chocolate candy bits for breakfast, munched on chocolate candy throughout the day, then had cinnamon&sugar on toast (white bread with real butter!) for dinner. Crap crap crap crap. I've been doing so well with my eating and today just bam. The worst part, all I want to do is eat more chocolate but sadly I ate it all already.

THIS IS WHY WE'RE FAT, SELF. STOP DOING THIS. >:(

I was born with a lot of complications due to prematurity, but I turned out fine mentally and physically -- just a tiny bit of exercise-induced asthma, but when I think about all the people who worked so hard to keep me alive and all the people who prayed for me, and how incredibly lucky I am...I feel like I'm wasting the gift I was handed.

Like I should be doing more to be of service to people, or at the very least keeping myself in better shape than "very obese thanks to a lot of fat." But I know I'll probably never actually do anything that's worthwhile to anybody. Not even my fanfic gets read, which is like the absolute lowest rung of doing things for people there is.

I feel like my life social situations are circular and it all leads back to high school. Like, when I went to college it was like I was primary/elementary school again with the purposeful ousting and the whole ending up making friends with the only person left who ends up being kind of crazy and awful. Then, in the work place I'm back in jr. high/high school where I seem to be generally liked by all, but mostly innocuous and forgettable by everyone, even people whom I try to make friends with.

Now I'm worried about it circling back to elementary school again.
