So basically half of tumblr was celebrating the news that Joan Rivers died and when called out one person made a upsetting comment. Something to the effect of "if you've ever done or supported anything shitty you OWE it to the world to die or you're murdering us all"

I know it's probably someone being an asshole but for some reason when I saw that (after having a stressful day at work) ...I just got REALLY upset about it. That's like uber shitty.

Social justice warrior versus...?

So I've used the word social justice warrior to describe certain people, but I feel like it's not only harsh, but it isn't quite what a social justice warrior really is (and there's flat-out contradictions). So what's the difference between a Social Justice Warrior and someone who is just... OTT about social justice, I guess? Misguided? Annoying?

(And I'm not bashing actual social justice activism. I believe in social activism and awareness. Just people who don't go about it the... best way, for whatever reason.)

Is it reasonable that I'm uncomfortable with people ranting about fandoms I'm part of, even if their criticisms a) aren't about me and b) are things I completely agree with? I mean, it doesn't really make sense, but is it reasonable for me to leave chat rooms when people do it and block tags when people tag it (my friends have a unique tag for their fandom rants, which I know they aren't obligated to do, and they don't do it just for me, but I appreciate it anyway)?

Anyone know somewhere to watch season 4 where you won't get a virus or something? I've missed all of the season so far and when I tried catching up on the MTV website the video played like a jerky slideshow with the audio playing normal.

Or maybe just somewhere with a really good synopsis of each episode?

Think about where your favorite characters left off -- at the series finale, in the last installment of their book or movie franchise, whatever. What are they doing now? What is their relationship like? What is different for them in the future?

If one of your fandoms has one of those things where they tell the viewer/reader about what happened in the future (like, eg, the Harry Potter epilogue), then just give more specific information that the general information the source material gave you.

In fiction (especially of the fantasy/sci-fi variety), what do you like to see in the made-up religions? Do you like them to be realistic or crazy? Do you like really dark cult-like religions or ones that are really hopeful? Do you like really formal ones, really inventive ones, ones that are thinly veiled for real religions, or anything else? Would you rather there isn't any kind of belief-system at all?

What are some interesting fictional religions you've come across in books/movies/TV? What do you like about them?

And, for fun, feel free to write up your own fake religion - serious or cracky - that maybe you'd like to see somewhere or write yourself some day.

Okay, Secret Posters and everyone else who doesn't know, 'noone' is not a word.

It's 'no one'. I know because 'someone', 'somebody', and 'nobody' are words it seems like 'noone' would also be one, but it's not. I always first read 'noone' as noon and then stop and go back. It looks like it would rhyme with Boone. If you really must have a compound word use 'nobody'. (When I typed in 'noone' without the quotes, the comment editor automatically corrected it to 'no one'.)

I know this is nitpicky, but this bothers me and maybe some people don't realize.
