I'm so disappointed by the Brexit fiasco I kind of wish British Euro-deputies would get immediately fired from whatever-the-official-name-is European political thingie, England would be booted out of the UEFA Cup (and Russia too, just because) and barred from participating in the next Eurovision Song Contest. Also, open up the Calais jungle and offer boats and trains to all the migrants that still want to cross the border.

I'm drawn to writing long-ish stories but I get motivational lows and end up not touching stories for weeks. I never post WIPs on fanfic sites because of the fear that I will lose interest and it will be a WIP forever... Now I am wondering if I can't turn this fear into motivation and a drive to keep me interested in my own stories. So writers of F!S what makes you more motivated? The satisfaction of posting a full work or the healthy stress of commiting yourself to finish what you started?

I've seen a lot of irritating stuff where characters in books who are supposed to look plain or weird or even ugly are portrayed by gorgeous actors or actresses when the film or TV adaptation rolls around, but what about the reverse? I can't think of examples of beautiful characters being portrayed as unattractive in the live action adaptation.

I graduated from a college in December. Fast forward to new job, new coworker, get to talking one day and find out he also graduated from the same college, at the same time, with the same degree. Weird, but cool coincidence!

La de da, tidying up and run across PDF pamphlet download from my graduation ceremony, which I had saved to email to a bunch of people. Ctrl+F his name, out of curiosity, and it does not appear anywhere in the list of grads.

I don't know why it bothers me, but it does...
