I'm annoyed enough about Stranger Things fic writers saying ridiculous things about 80s music that I'm almost tempted to write fic just to try and get characters' musical taste right.

Whose Line is it Anyway is a much improved show. It is better with Aisha Tyler. And without Drew Carey.

I can't watch Outlander because I have issues with cheating and can't root for the main couple. But a friend is really into it, and I happened to see a clip recently of the whipping scene from season 1. And now I'm shipping the male hero and the villain. Ooops?

Back when season #7 was announced I hoped that with the Elements of Harmony removed and the hints that Starswirl's legacy would play a part, the Mane Six + Starlight Glimmer + Sunburst would become the new bearers of Starswirl's Eight Items.
I was so disappointed in how the season's finale turned out that I noped on the series and still haven't bothered to watch what came next.

I love sport animes/mangas and wish that there was shows and/or books similar to it in the west. The close that I ever found is fence (a comic by boom comics)

I haven't seen Brooklyn 99 season 6 and I'm kinda scared to. I loved the first 5 seasons, but the season 5 finale felt like a natural ending point. All of the characters were starting to get a little Flanderized and I really don't want them to drag it out until the show becomes crap. :(

Not developing a relationship between lex luthor and Kon(superboy) was a very big missed opportunity by DC. It would make both characters more interesting

I don't subscribe to the sentiment of "if all the people who complain about lack of diversity really cared, X would be far more popular". Is there a distressing trend in fandom where people are more likely to call out the lack of diversity in mainstream media than support diverse projects? I think so, but I don't think you can blame the lack of success of one particular show/movie on that trend because there are too many other factors that influence popularity (cast, genre, even distribution).

Having said that, I also think that if all the people who always complain about lack of diversity really cared, the new Tales of the City series would be far more popular. Where's the fandom, guys?
It makes me a hypocrite but I don't get how this show isn't more popular when it has everything that's usually demanded when it comes to diversity and it has such a heart-warming vibe to it. Plus, Ellen Page is even in it!
At this point, I'm happy to see book purists grumbling because I just don't see anyone else talking about the new series.

I love horror movies but seriously judge and could never date someone who watches and enjoys torture porn horror, like A Serbian Film or Hostel or Human Centipede.

I think that in the hunter x hunter fandom the people that ship kurapika/chrollo instead of kurapika/leorio just do it because chrollo is more attractive than leorio

I often lose interest in series during the hiatus between seasons 1 and 2. I can't keep my interest a live and just move on to other things

when I first enter the FFXV fandom I used to ship a bunch of ships that have different combinations of the main four. But now I can only ship OT4 and feel really bad if someone is left out

Comments and crit on fanfic

I saw a discussion about how fandom is going "too far" by the mere statement that you should only post crit if it's asked for. Why is this a bad thing? To be honest it just seems like being courteous. this complaint just seems like it comes from some "well akshully" type who needs to be noticed.

and fwiw I only delete negative comments if it's nothing but being rude and insulting or it's complaining about the presence of something that was already mentioned/tagged. Like if someone complains about how the fic would be better if it were this ship or saying "thats not canon" when its obviously/tagged AU.


What's your opinion on this?
