Anyone been to Bangkok?

I'm living in Town in Town for a while.

Found a great place to eat, and another to have cold drinks. Both are not even 5 minutes away from my apartment by walking, and going to both places once is enough to feed me all day. Probably around $3 total!

I am wondering if there are any other areas near Town in Town I can get to in terms of food. Especially grocery stores. I'm a vegetarian too, and I have no kitchen so it's best I buy stuff that doesn't need heat to taste better.

I'm so new here, I know nothing! But I love it here so far.

Interview/Job Stuff

I have a last minute interview. I applyed for the job yesterday, got a call to schedule the interview today, and the interview is tomorrow. The thing that is worrying me (other than having to quick call my boss and lie about an appointment) is that I cannot find that much information on the place I am interviewing for. The place has a nice looking website, but a lot of the links don't work. And I tried googling the person I am going to interview with and I am finding nothing (no facebook or other social media stuff). I did find the person had trademarked the companies name back in the early 2000s and the company is at least in an official looking place that has other reputable companies in it, but it's puzzling me why I cannot find much about the company.

What do you all think?

I just finished my first ever rewatch of TW3A (the alpha pack season), and I have a lot of memories of people haaaaaating it. But I'm not really sure why because for me it's neck and neck with season one for my favorite (subject to change after I finish 3B).

The only thing I really remember people complaining about was "Jennifer was a villain who stayed dead (unlike Peter) even though she had a really good reason for murdering all those folks so ANTI-FEMINIST!!!"

That can't have been the only reason right? Or am I misremembering the degree of hate?

Book club - plans

When would folks like to have out August discussion? The 29th is a Monday, a week from today; that or any of the following two days work for me. Sunday the 28th miiight work but I am not really sure. Any preferences? Please comment!

Also: any suggestions/requests for how to format the discussion? I'd like to do whatever is most likely to generate discussion. Does the format affect whether people are likely to participate? Please comment! Feedback always welcome!

No preferences. But I'm on the 'wrong' side of the globe anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me. I plan to DNF the book, so I won't be able to join in a proper discusson, but I will come by for a probably not so little rant the following day. Because what I've read so far really annoyed me. :D

As to discussion format, I honestly don't know what you could do differently. I think posting your own thoughts and then see what others thought seems to be the only reasonable way to do it.

I know plenty of popular books/bestsellers have 'official' guidelines and questions meant for bookclubs, but those I've seen were all embarrassingly bad questions and focussed on the least interesting parts of the book, so I'd vote strongly against using those.

I think the turnout at the discussion is mostly affected by the book in question. Popular, better known books will generate a higher number of participants. So I'd be really shocked, if this month's discussion would be as deserted as it was last month for Para Handy.
