OP, you really should seek out some help. I'm not trying to be mean. It's just that to place so much importance on one person, to let that person become your reason for living, is not healthy -- especially when no matter how amazing that person may be, they will eventually let you down in some way.

I agree that Adam is amazing.

People move to different fandoms, man. I would suggest ignoring this person and focus on what makes you happy in your current fandom. Or maybe develop a competitive edge and work on making sure that whatever you do is better than the other person? (Hey, a little friendly competition never hurt anyone.)

I don't think they'd do it. Ever since that Fauz News scandal about the 4 seconds of butt in ME1 Bioware has kept gay in the Mass Effect series to a minimum, which is a disappointment because I love Ashley (whose f!Shep romance dialogue is still in the actual game..) and Tali. I would have some hope if you couldn't romance her at all in ME2- but m!Shep can. I doubt they'll add a femshep romance :(((

I don't know what exactly happened to you, but I'm sorry nonetheless. Sometimes things happen in RL that color your perception of characters/pairings; there's no shame in that. Once you've distanced yourself from the pain a bit, perhaps you can try to like them again... I mean, Malik did readily forgive Altaïr as soon as the latter realized what an ass he'd been.

(I don't get why people hate on Mondrian so much, either. It's like people can't put art into a historical perspective to understand why it was a big deal at the time.)

I have a problem with it because if a fan is writing fanfiction, I assume that they like the show enough to actually take the time to write a story. Therefore, I expect them to do justice to the characters that they are writing. Just writing an OC and giving them a canon character's name is lazy and some people do that.

As for grammar, I can understand if it's a language barrier thing and overlook it most of the time. But betas exist and some people just don't use them. It's not an "ugh this person can't spell/sucks at grammar thing;" it's just really hard to get through a story when there are just a ton of spelling and grammar mistakes constantly jerking me out of the plot.

Just dropping in to say that Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favourite books, ever. I loved the movie, too, but the books were better, I thought. Something about the world just made me fall in love, and something about Sofie, and the way the romance played out, and... yeah. If I can ever create a world half as good, I'd be happy.

TB4 - ...how do you know that people on the other side aren't highly educated as well? And we shouldn't be judging arguements by the education levels of the people involved, but the quality of the arguements. University education is certainly helpful in learning how to formulate arguements, but it's hardly the only way. Attending a higher-rated university doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a better education than someone attending a lower-rated one either. Individual work ethic makes quite a bit of difference.
