I got my first henna tattoo on my right forearm last week and it was really pretty, so I borrowed my friend's (very old) henna cone and gave myself a Weyland Corp logo two days ago. Kiiiinda obsessed with Prometheus because ♥Noomi Rapace♥ I think I might try the Fringe Division logo next! I have a few real tattoos but henna's a fun way to get fandom tattoos that I might think thrice (or more) about if they were real.

I have this shyness related to food. I can cook for my guests and eat with them and I can eat a meal that someone else has prepared. But I cannot stand the idea of anyone looking at me cooking for just myself and/or eating alone and then bam! someone comes by. I get this irrational feeling that people judge me based on what I eat.
So, whenever my roommates use the kitchen I’ll keep my distance and let them be, waiting for my turn when they’re finished. But when I use it they will barge in and put me so ill at ease… I tried to explain but they cannot grasp that the concept of privacy could apply to anything else than the bathroom (or throwing you out of the appartment so they can fuck their girlfriends at will).
So I’m still ill at ease *and* they managed to make me feel even more ridiculous.

I'm a girl who loves sex. I'm 24 years old as of last week and haven't been a virgin since I was 15. I've had tons of partners and played out a lot of my kinks through the years. I haven't had a problem with getting right down to business within the first or second date with my previous girlfriends and boyfriends because I wasn't ready for anything serious. I didn't want to be tied down in the past because I wasn't ready for a long lasting relationship.

But now that I'm older and found a guy I really like, I want to try having a more committed relationship. But...I really like having sex and don't see the point of waiting when a perfect relationship for me would be having sex while getting to know each other along the way. ...I guess a conversation with my aunt got me thinking that maybe people perceive me as "unworthy" to be the type of girl people would want to settle down with. My aunt doesn't know that I'm not a virgin, but she knows about my current boyfriend and started talking about, "I didn't let my husband touch my breasts until 4 months in the relationship. If you want a man to respect you and commit himself to you, you should wait." I felt really shitty afterwards because I already let this guy feel me up after the third date and loved every minute of it.

But now I'm having a mini freakout that maybe I'll be perceived as just a phase for this guy and not worth having a real relationship with. I'm confused and bummed out. Should I have waited? Is there any possibility that a girl like me can be seen as worth having a real relationship with?

I hate when people post links to fic on kink memes instead of posting the fic there...Because year or two after that they'll flounce the fandom and delete/friend-only their old fic. I know, it's their work, they have the right to do whatever they want to with it, but I'm just sad when I go back to an old fandom to reread my favorites and they're deleted. :(

Also the same goes for people who abandon livejournal and the like...I love your work, please don't leave us. Let us read it.

You know how William Moulton Marston was completely shameless about putting his fetishes in the Wonder Woman comics? I sometimes wonder if maybe Will Eisner was doing the same thing with The Spirit.

How do you feel about Polyamory, FS?

Hey, FS, since you're great for secondary opinions, I thought I'd ask you your feelings on polyamory.

I live in a pretty liberal area, I'm polyamorous, but I'm many other thing too; such as mixed-race and bisexual. Anyways, where I live racism and homophobia are more or less socially unacceptable and I've never really had to deal with much prejudice over my background or orientation.

However, the one thing I do tend to get shit for is being polyamorous. I get dirty looks and snide comments if I ever mention the idea of more than two people being in a relationship. It's kind of disheartening, considering how liberal it is here with everything else. I tell myself, if the three of us are happy, who cares, we're not hurting anyone. But sometimes I get doubtful just from the sheer about of disdain I see for polyamory.

What do you think about polyamory, FS?

A question about relationships

Hey F!S. I'm not sure where to go for this, so... I figure maybe here?

I've never had a significant other before this, but I've been seeing a guy for about a month. Thing is, I'm extremely anxious about being touched because of past bad things I don't want to get into. I'm kind of warming up to cuddles and things with him now, and hugs are okay, but even though I've explained my boundaries to him and been honest about it, I can tell he wants more than that. He tried to kiss me the other day and it freaked me out, and I feel absolutely horrible.

Should I try harder to push myself and be okay with these things? Honestly it makes it terrifying to be with him sometimes, because I don't think I'm ready, but I also worry it isn't fair to just have things on my terms like that.

Help?

If you've told him what your boundaries are, he needs to respect them. If he wants more than that, the correct thing for him to do is bring this up with you verbally and find out what you'd be comfortable with trying, not to decide unilaterally to initiate something you've expressly said you're uncomfortable with.

Should you push yourself to be okay with more physical contact? Only if you want to be able to experience that kind of contact and enjoy it. If you feel like you're missing out on something you want by being uncomfortable with kissing or other forms of contact, then you should try to acclimatize yourself to it at a speed that you're okay with. If you're content where you are and just feel pressured, then no. You've made your boundaries clear to him, and his choices are to accept those boundaries, discuss with you if and how those boundaries might change, or end the relationship if it does not satisfy him.
