Where's a good place to ask about impossible-to-find songs?

I'm thinking I want a more uptempo cover of Russ Ballard's "Hey Bernadette"--because the lyrics seem like what I remember but RB's song is all wrong in sound--but I haven't been able to find any covers of that damn song.

Male vocals, English language, the name Bernadette was definitely repeated throughout, and it was really fast, upbeat, and made great driving music. Played on FM radio station (possibly a college station; possibly a ska, punk, alternative station) on the drive between Hattiesburg, MS and New Orleans in February 2010. Possibly a cover done by a local NOLA or coastal MS band.

Yesterday discovered a really prolific fandom writer. They'we written over 500 freaking stories for their formerly tiny fandom. The average hit count per story is, like, nine. The overall number of kudos is ten.

I think that's what I'm scared of now - to end up as an authour of 90 percent of all the works in my really tiny fandom that don't even get any hits. It just feels so creepy and so damn lonely. After reaching some number of the works published I'm probably going to keep the rest to myself.

It really doesn't help that I'm already the author of 77 percent of all the works in one of my fandoms - although the ratio is 7:2, not 500:5.

And my second fandom contains three stories, one of which is mine.

Related to the anal secret: anyone else tried anal? Did you like it?

I'd always heard these horror stories about how painful and awful it was, requiring hours of buildup and fingering and toys and gallons of lube, but my first time was just in the middle of doggie style with the lights off my boyfriend accidentally stuck it in the wrong hole. No prep, no lube, just right in there all the way. It didn't hurt at all. He was all "sorry!!!" and I was like "no, it's fine actually, keep going if you want". What's all the fuss about?

Today we look at dogs! But not just any cute dogs or sweet puppies- today I'm featuring lots of dogs that I definitely do fine cute and that most people would probably call huge. The breeds of dogs shown in the pictures are all large and giant dogs, and as you'll notice, a good number of them are livestock guardians and/or molossers of some type.

Large dog breeds in general tend to be even tempered and calm temprement wise, and can make wonderful family pets (and excellent makeshift sofas, for the smaller kids). However, because of their large size, many of them are prone to genetic conditions such as hip dysplasia, which can lead to pain and athristis. They also generally have shorter lifespans compared to their smaller counterparts, and often only live on average for about 7-9 years or so.

I hope that you find the dogs today as interesting as I do! I've included a short summary about whichever breed is pictured under the photograph for more information. Do feel free to correct me if I've got anything wrong.

Okay, so, for NaNoWriMo, I've been writing about a boy band reuniting, and I'm working on two timelines--the first is the "present", when they're getting everyone together and hashing out the details of their regrouping, and the other is in the past, with their rise and fall. During the past portions I'm going to be talking about them at the height of their fame, complete with screaming, shrieking, crying fans.

What I need, then, are stories about fans doing all manner of ridiculous, silly, crazy things to get to this group. Because while I was a huge fan of some pop groups, I was relatively calm in my fandom. I'm talking stories about sneaking onto tour buses, breaking into hotel rooms, or giving strange presents to the star of their choice. So what's the weirdest/strangest/funniest/most horrifying fangirl story that you know of?

hey fs sup. Do you ever follow someone on tumblr and then end up immediately regretting it? I have! I just recently followed someone because they followed me, which I don't usually do but have been again lately. They seemed relatively normal but to be honest I'm pretty much totally confused by everything they post. I feel like they must be constantly high or something. Also the day I followed them they made a post saying that their mum shot their dad? And then didn't mention it again and returned to making loads of incoherent text posts. It was kind of surreal. And mildly concerning..
Everything became more surreal when I started talking to this other person I follow on tumblr who then proceeded to tell me about how they were in a relationship with their sister, and had previously had one with their cousin as well.
It was a strange day.
You don't really need to know this information, but it was all kind of strange so I wanted to tell someone. But on anon. So you're welcome for that.

Has anyone else had similar strange experiences? The first one isn't really a strange experience as such, but I'm just kind of confused by this person in general..

So, it's all well and good to discuss your favorite songs in musicals and whatnot, or main title themes that play during credits, but how about specific non-lyrical tracks from the background musical scores for various movies and TV shows, especially ones that aren't musicals?

I'm thinking of John Williams at the moment (especially "Luke and Leia" and "Han Solo and the Princess") but you needn't cite something THAT prestigious. Just tracks that are really beautiful but which no one pays attention to because they're background music.

I also have a huge weakness for "Madman with a Box" and "Sad Man with a Box" from Doctor Who, "They Called It" from The Avengers, "Why So Serious?" from The Dark Knight and "I'm Lost" from Lilo and Stitch, to name a few.

I'm interested in a book, but made the huge mistake of reading the reviews. Mixed wouldn't even begin to describe them. "The action was engaging, but the characters felt like cardboard." "The action fell flat, but the characters saved the story." "I preferred the prequel because it was deeper and more honest." "I came here expecting the same monotony as the prequel, but was pleasantly surprised." The only thing anyone can agree on is that it was rushed, and could have been told better in two or three books than in one. But still, I'm the kind of person who can enjoy even the weakest writing as long as I ignore other people's opinions. So why did I go find out?! *slams face against desk repeatedly*
