I agree with the sentiment of this secret but how does being a teacher (or having any kind of profession) prevent one from being a mother? Maybe I'm misinterpreting something here.

Did she actually say that women aren't real women unless they have kids, or was she just saying that motherhood is a pretty great thing. Because it is! And I'm glad that mothers get to experience! It's just not something all women want to experience and that's okay.

I don't really like kids (I don't hate them but I don't want them in my house) so I'm not going to be a mother, thus I do not understand what motherhood feels like.

Oh, ffs, people in this thread are being dense. Traditionally female teachers and governesses often did not marry and have children. So I don't think OP meant that being a teacher is a negative thing, but that for teachers it's socially acceptable not to have children. While every other woman in a different field of work would ~obviously~ want children.

Also, considering how vocal some in the fandom can be about shitting all over the mothers in Harry Potter it's not really that hard for me to understand where she might have gotten that impression.
