For me, my doujin and pairing themed calendar arrived today! I'm super happy, especially after the week I've had.

How often do you wash your hair, F!S? I've got really thick unruly Jew-hair -- not only do I have a lot of it, I could swear that the individual hairs are fatter than average. Only a little natural curl, but it frizzes if you so much as breath on it (which can usually be counteracted by some product, but not always. It rains or I get my period? I look like I've been playing with one of those static ball thingies that make your hair rise up.) So I wash it twice a week but only shampoo it one of those times, because I need it to be heavy to look decent.

Tbh, it looks best when it hasn't been washed for a while.

Good series to watch at the gym

I'm finding that watching videos on my phone at the gym is a good way to pass time while bored out of my mind on the elliptical. I was using SnK but I figure anime might not be the best idea--I'm at a gym on campus that faculty occasionally use and screamy anime teens might not present the best image to certain people.

Do you know any good 45 minutes-one hour series that aren't too slow-paced? By slow I just mean episodes without a lot of activity. A slow burn show I only let myself watch during cardio isn't a bad thing.

Finals/Big Tests/These Trying Times

Finals are about to start, and I feel like my brains are leaking out my ears. -_- And then I get to go to my mother's right after. Since I'm likely going to spend most of Christmas break dealing with her increasingly erratic personal life and family drama, my vacation isn't really going to start until after Christmas, when I go to my father's home (and more importantly, the city where my old friends are). Even then, though, there's a very good chance that I'm going to end up designated driver (again) on New Year's Eve - so much for a big blow-out before I go back to school. :|

Everyone always seems to talk about all the fun stuff they're looking forward to in December. Any of you guys dreading something, instead?

I'm not sure which depresses me more about the recently released Senate report* on CIA torture: all the incredibly brutal shit that my country did in the name of its citizens, or the fact that we can pretty much assume for sure and certain that there will be no consequences whatsoever for any of it.
