I need some help.

My housemate has been really sad this past two weeks. She's studying a PhD in Psychology and hates her topic. I think she's pretty stressed and she seems to be feeling left out a lot lately. I don't think she has many friends and uni classes aren't up yet so it's pretty much me and my housemates who she sees. I think it's mostly little things that upset her - like not knowing one housie was going to be away on the day she made some cake (none of us knew, including fiance) or a housie and me building a shelf (his shelf, but I own all the tools in the house). I'm trying to involve her, but now I'm stressed she'll be all PA about it.

Thing is she's been really passive aggressive about it lately and it's upsetting my other two housemates (who are engaged and getting married next month, so they're pretty busy right now). I'm trying to balance the three of them, but I'm getting pretty tired of it - especially since I don't know if there's an underlying problem (she says she doesn't want to talk about it, so I just do my best to make her laugh).

So now I'm all stressed out and fretting, but I work full time and night shift. So I am tired when I get home

Also I need to somehow tell her to do the dishes more often because it's not really fair that she's home pretty much every day but only does the dishes about once a week. Other housemate who does nightshift probably does it the most and the three of us are a bit annoyed. I don't know how to ask her to do them more often without risking upsetting her.

I've been spending a lot of time around her to try and cheer her up, and I'm really concerned. But I'm also tired and it's beginning to feel like an uneven Sherlock/Watson friendship here.

I haven't read that much NCIS fic myself, but the fact that there is potentially a lot of bad Jenny!fic out there makes me a sad panda.

SI is tolerable if the insert is just an ordinary pony, in fact a well written one with the insert struggling to do without opposable thumbs, and learning to walk on four leggs, is an intersting read. Pity there is so few of them. SI only work when the author is able to make fun of herself writing it.
