Hey guys, I'm looking for a movie called "Circles In A Forest". It's a South African movie made in 1989, based on a book by Dalene Matthee and starring Arnold Vosloo.

I CANNOT FIND IT ANYWHERE. Ideally, I'd like to buy it -- but my searches have come up with nothing, so maybe it was never even released on DVD... I can't find it for download either (I've tried torrents, DC++, eMule, various forums, and so on).

Can anyone help me find it? I'm not picky; I don't care if the DVD comes from the USA or Japan or wherever, and it's fine even if the quality is bad. I just really want to see it.

Remember that fic exchange last year? When you didn't like the fic you recieved, the moderator urged you to comment it anyway, the moderator even asked if there was a problem and instead of answering and oh, maybe, explaining that you didn't know what to say and you needed some help the moderator was more than willing to provide to mediate the conflict... you kept ignoring the mod and used a sockpuppet to flame the story and troll its author instead? Auhtor who happened to be my best friend?
And now *you* want to organize you own fic exchange? And you want me to participate?

I just recently noticed this happening, but I'm running google chrome, and all of a sudden, random words have turned into links? Or something? And whenever I hover over them, it's an ad, and it sends me to a different page. I tried googling it, but I got too many not-relevant pages (maybe I'm not using the right keywords?) and one relevant page- if I was running internet explorer.

Does anyone know what this is/how to make it go away?

I just paid the down payment for my tickets to travel for the first time ever outside of my home country (with my mum because <3).

I think this is the most adult/independent (with my mum lol) thing I've ever done. (uh, excluding bills, jobs, debt, renting, feeding of oneself and such)

I took a Shakespeare class briefly a few years ago. We were discussing Measure for Measure one day. For those who haven't read the play, Angelo is the law enforcement, and Isabella's brother Claudio is on death row. Angelo tells Isabella he'll free Claudio only if she sleeps with him. Someone in the class said Isabella was selfish for refusing the deal, and I said something along the lines of "I don't think it's fair for Claudio to expect his sister to let herself be raped for him". The professor interrupted and said that it wouldn't have been rape. I countered that it was sexual coercion, which is the same thing because forced consent isn't consent, and he insisted that no, sexual coercion =/= rape. Realizing it was pointless to argue when he was so set in his opinion, I dropped the subject and the class.

Everyone else I talked to at the time (minus my parents, who only care that I do well in school regardless of horrible faculty) agreed that what the professor had said was highly offensive and completely untrue. But I tend to hang out with like-minded people, and I've realized that those who were outraged for my sake are in fact a pretty small sample size. Now that the incident has come back to mind, I'm kind of curious as to what you guys think about it.

Also this made me think of something : Is there some kind of fandom wars and big wank about anime and manga on tumblr ?
I don't track really popular tags and the people I follow either aren't in anime/manga or just reblog gifsets and fanarts.

Same with the more "positive" stuff like fandom songs, fandom maps and shopped stuff, crossovers à la superwholockinsertwhatyouwantthere... Sometimes there's a little "anime" written somewhere but nothing specific.

i'm a different person and i hate it

I was at the height of my popularity in middle school. I had tons of friends and boys fought over me, note-passing drama, etc.

When I got to high school, my friends started getting waaaay more serious with boys and drinking and I shied away from it, but I still had lots of friends, but we were nerdy band kids.

In college, I didn't make a ton of friends, and I never dated.

I graduated last year, had to move back in with my parents and I barely ever do anything socially anymore.

I feel like I'm regressing so much, and I don't know how it happened, or if I forgot how to make friends, or what. I'm afraid it's because I've gained like 50 lbs and I can't seem to lose any of it. And that's the better alternative, because deep down I think everyone gets sick of me eventually and doesn't want to be my friend anymore.

What are you doing now, other than living with your parents? Do you have job, or the prospect of one? Do you have plans for graduate school? Have you tried volunteer work, in the real world or online?

Maybe the problem isn't you, but rather the shrinking of the boundaries of your personal world, so to speak. It'll most likely take time to get your socialization skills back up to speed (I know that it's hard for me to even speak if I'm isolated for too long!), but if you expand your "boundaries" through work or study, you should find yourself beginning to form friendships again. It takes a long time to form a good friendship, too -- you might have some future friends in your acquaintance already.

Deep down I think everyone gets sick of me eventually and doesn't want to be my friend anymore.

I really doubt that that's true, but if it bothers you that much, then try to think of your faults. Do you think that you talk too much? Have you pushed friends away before? Are you pushy or aggressive so far as your personal opinions are concerned? Why wouldn't people like you?
