Hi, I'm the OP from yesterday's Ursula secret. I didn't see the thread until late last night, the frozen thread was frightening, but I did finally read it, and I wanted to say thank you to everyone who wrote such nice comments in my support, I appreciate it very much.

The cosplay is going to be for Sakura Con 2013, and I may post pictures here for people who wanted to see it if I remember.

Um...what the subject line says. Ever have a pairing whose concept/dynamic/aesthetics/possibilities/whatever made for really hot porn that you loved reading, even if you didn't ship the pairing as a romantic couple at all and didn't want the two characters to get together?

Editing Advice?

I'm writing a novel-

but one of my problems is that I write WAY too much. The chapters rapidly become ungainly but I get anxious about editing because I'm not sure where to start and if I'm doing right.

My chapter's currently 15,000 words long. There isn't really a word limit I'm aiming for but I'm in the 'messy middle' of my story and I'm aware I could get bogged down very quickly at the rate I'm going.

Any tips? Nanowrimo is over, so are the survivors willing to share advice?

Terminology Question

Hey, FS. There's something that's been bothering me on and off for a while, and I figured the commenting masses might be able to help me, so here goes:
Is there a word for someone who believes a God or gods exist, but doesn't worship them? I'm thinking someone like Batman or Harry Dresden, who live in a universe where they know gods exist, and may have interacted with them, but for whatever reason don't *worship* them. The closest I've been able to find via wiki-ing is a henotheist, who might believe in a pantheon of gods, but only worships one of them.

Returning to a WIP

So, I've just finished a massively long piece for the (Son of) BB fest and now I want to return to writing a WIP I was more than halfway through when I started BB, but...

I've kind of lost track of the narrative thread of the WIP. Any tips? Words of advice? I'm determined to finish the WIP, I'm just not sure how to get started again. I've read through it and read my outline, but getting going is harder than I thought it would be.

When I was younger, I had three cats. We were having something done to our house, and one of them (Sonic) decided to climb into the back of the work man's van. Work man finished up, went home.

Few hours later, we get a knock on the door. It's the work man. He's got Sonic in his hands, and asks us if he's ours. He says he came back because he discovered Sonic in the back after getting home, and we were his last job.

He also said that, if we hadn't ended up being the owners, he'd have kept Sonic as his own, to look after him.

That's the biggest adventure any of my pets has been on, haha :)

I still have one of my cats (not Sonic) and he's 18 now. The old man of the house. Also have two dogs. They all have ridiculous adorable personalities :D
