Funny match-songs-to-characters thread

So, we recently had a thread about matching songs to fictional characters. Most of these matches were serious and thoughtful took the characters seriously and picked serious, meaningful songs for them.

Instead, lets do it all as humorously as possible -- pick funny songs, or funny, snarky song-character matches.

Because I'm too lazy to make a secret about it, but it really annoys me that Hilly is playing 10 here instead of some guy look-a-like. She does a good job, but her femininity kills it for me.

Also, they crowdfunded this and got $17k even though they claim to do everything themselves. It all seems pretty sketch to me. Looks professional, but it's hard for me to wrap my brain around the 2 sisters did practically everything.

And the guy who did the voice over does a spot on impression of Tennant. It's mind boggling.

Which is completely irrational because in real life? I do not give a damn. And I don't even HAVE an account so everything is anonymous anyway.

Greasemonkey LJ New Comments script not working

I finally got around to installing the LJ/DW New Comments script, and as the subject says, it's not working. Greasemonkey is active, the script is running on LJ and DW pages, but I see no handy "new" next to new comments.

I'm running Firefox 31.0, and the code from http://pw201.livejournal.com/54000.html, as userscript.org has been down for months. I first heard of the script through http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/617297.html?thread=436049#cmt436049.

Is the script working for anyone running Firefox 31.0? This is the only Greasemonkey script I'm using. My only other add-ons are Tumblr Savior and good old Adblock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a loss, and a google didn't help. *sigh*

Game's You're Waiting to Play

Was originally "Games You're Sitting On," but didn't think people would get the colloquialism. Anyway I was thinking about this recently, what are some of the games you either currently have or looking to buy but are waiting for them to get further in development before you really start playing them. I was thinking mostly in terms of Steam's Early Access stuff, but anything that is currently playable but still waiting to get better is fine to (like maybe MMO's or better patches). So mine would be: Beasts of Prey, Audiosurf 2, StarForge, Planet Explorers, and Kinetic Void.

Today I learned that I have a nut allergy! It was triggered by walnuts, but the doctor said unless I have a long history of eating the nut and being fine, I should avoid it. No new nuts for me!

This leaves me with... Peanuts. Which is good because I love peanuts but I was starting healthy foods and really loved walnuts.

I'm also allergic to horses and pollen.

Searching for a Marvel Civil War Story Issue

I'm going nuts trying to find this issue. Back when The Civil War was going on, I was not particularly into Marvel but I made a point of glancing at the issues now and then (at Borders, when they still carried comics) to see what was going on. And I seem to remember an issue showing the reaction to Spider-Man's unmasking from the POV of his High School Students or possibly their parents. Does anyone remember this? There are a bazillion different tie-in issue in that stupid fakakta event and I've been through a shit-ton of them with no luck.

Did I just imagine this?

I'm 21. I have always found both men and women sexually attractive, so I always thought of myself as bisexual. I have also been masturbating since I was 10, and as far back as I can remember there were some BDSM elements in my fantasies.

However, up until recently, I have never done more than kissing and groping, with both genders. Kissing does absolutely nothing for me, but the groping was always fun.

Recently, though, I have a boyfriend with whom I am starting to engage sexually with. And I find myself...extremely underwhelmed. We haven't quite managed full on intercourse yet (I am the "vagina too small for an average dick" anon from a few months back, and never got back in time to say that I don't have much access to sex toys die to finances and living situation). Some of the kinkier bits (him spanking or choking me) were also fun, but mostly on par with the light groping - I still get MUCH more sexual satisfaction out of masturbating. My boyfriend is pretty good about taking directions in bed, but nothing I suggest really seems to work.

Is this a type of asexuality? I've tried poking around AVEN, but I found it very vague and unhelpful. When it comes to asexuality, everything is defined around attraction, and I experience plenty of that. It's just actual sex I find myself bored by.

Thoughts/help?

Well, I figured out how to close polls without deleting them, but now it doesn't display the results on the public poll page anymore. That's silly.

Anyway, the winning book for the month of August is The Plague Stone by Gillian White!

By the way, the poll for September will open on August 1! That's really soon - a week from Friday, I think. I want to get back into the habit of having the poll in the first week of the preceding month, so after this it should slow down a bit.

How do you guys want to do recs? Do you want to have books that didn't make it this month be re-entered if there's interest, or should they wait a while to encourage variety? What about the two books that didn't win the tiebreaker?

Please give feedback on the process, and also, post your recs for September's book starting today!

I'd suggest putting the two runners up into next month's poll (just because of the tie), but everything else has a two month cooling off period before being re-recced.
