I don't watch Hannibal, but this is kind of weirding me out because I've always thought Richard Armitage and Raul Esparza could convincingly play brothers. Not identical, but related-looking.

Uh, so, I gave up the show in season 2. For some reason season 2 didn't grab me as much, so I stopped watching after about 3 episodes.

I had not heard this.

I will now be picking it back up.

Android Users: How do you read downloaded fics?

So I have my new phone, but I've been struggling to find a good e-reader (specifically/especially a good ePub reader, as that's the format all my fanfics are in, right now). I'm asking here because this seems to be the only place where no one is going to think twice about the fact I have literally hundreds of books, almost all of which have no actual covers.

Most of them either do not allow "sideloading" (importing books from phone and/or SD card), or they do, but then finding a fic is impossible because they use "bookshelf" organization - meaning they only show the covers/first pages, without putting the title ANYWHERE and since the vast majority of my books are AO3 or other fanfic downloads, there are no covers to let me know which book is which. Also, most of them don't seem to have any kind of mechanism for organizing the books other than ordering it by title or author (due to sheer number, I have to organize at least by fandom, if not things like series and stuff, too).

Do you guys have any suggestions for good e-readers? I just need something that lets me import books (from phone and from SD card), lets me organize the books somehow, and gives me a true list view (at least a way to view my books/library with the titles, not just the covers - though a way to view them without covers at all would be fantastic, because I have SO many books and almost all of them are cover-less, so "covers" are a pain in the ass for a variety of reasons).

The closest things I've found are UB Reader and Moon+ reader. Both of their free versions are full of obnoxious ads. UB Reader still gives me covers, even in list view. Moon+ reader looks like it has a mechanism for getting rid of covers completely, but it's a paid app.

I can deal with small ads on the bottom of an app, just not the pop-up ads that come in the free versions of UB Reader and Moon+.

Does anyone know of any free ePub reading apps that can do those three things I mentioned? Or should I just suck it up and buy Moon+? (If any of you use the paid version, do you know if there is a way to get rid of covers entirely in list view, or am I just misinterpreting the functions?)

I don't feel quite as extremely as #12's OP, but I can sort of relate to them, at least as far as the 'I wish I didn't have to let go of it but I'm feeling totally done with the atmosphere' part goes.

Long story short, my last two fandom experiences were both intense and intensely toxic, to the point where I was emotionally exhausted and burnt out. I walked away about a year ago for the sake of my mental health and haven't touched it since.

I didn't really expect that I wouldn't touch anything since, though. I don't bother with new series etc. and I have no interest any more in new seasons of the things I used to love. I never watched/read/played anything with the express intention of joining fandoms for them, but I can sort of see the weird rationale behind my current fear of finding anything I want to fangirl in case it all goes to hell like the last time. I don't think I let myself engage fully with anything because of this.

The problem is, I love fandom (both as enjoying the media and as a source of discussion, which is where I probably diverge from the secret's OP). It's been a part of my life for a very long time, I miss it as a sphere of interaction, and it's not fun to think that I've lost the desire for it just because of a negative environment, however bad.

I know that taking a break was the best thing, and so is the "it'll happen if/when it happens" approach. I guess I'm just wondering whether anyone has any experience/advice re: coming back to fannish activity of some sort after bad experiences? Or should I just cut my losses completely and find something else to take its place?

Psoriasis

So, I am 99% sure I have psoriasis on my face. It has gone from itchy/annoying to painful. I am currently trying to find a dermatologist in-network (and when I do, I doubt they will have openings anytime soon).

Does anyone have any tips for alleviating the pain? Most of the tips are not helpful because I can't submerge my face in water and epsom salt (not without a snorkel at least). I was using shampoo with coal tar and that was helping. But my sister's doctor told her not to use that (I think I am just going to ignore that advice until I can get to a doctor).

Would Urgent Care would be able to prescribe something to help?

So...does anyone have any recs for single dad fic?

Because seeing this fic made me think of what a nice dad the Cap could be. It would be interesting to see him take on a ward, a baby or a kid, and raise the kid as his own, and all the trials and tribulations. If it's not out there...I'm afraid I'll start writing it.

If anyone knows of any "X raises child by himself" fic, please, post away. I'm especially looking for Steve (No, not Steve&Bucky, Steve&Sam, Steve&Nat, Steve&Sam&Nat [although I'd be open to reading that one]) any fandom and characters are encouraged, as someone else lurking the forum might be looking for it!
