From the brief screenshots...it doesn't take place in space :( but it might! we'll see!

I kind of hope we get some new starters beyond water / fire / grass. I can't think of any other rock - paper - scissors trifect like that that isn't dark - psychic - fighting.

Weekend Plans

Well, this weekend will be full of trying to relax and doing any last minute travel stuff (I need to get my nails done and such). I don't really need to do a lot of shopping so I might also do some baking. My mom wants some scones so maybe I'll make those.

How do you feel about portrayals of pre-teens/young teens exploring sexual activity?

I've heard a lot of "Noooooo I won't write/read/watch anything that involves sexual activity if the characters aren't over 18" and I totally understand that when it comes to porn or any erotic grey area that comes close to porn.

But at the same time...underage sexuality is a thing, and to be quite honest, there are quite a sizable number of children in their early teens or even earlier who sometimes explore it with each other (especially when it's not full-on sex, just groping, or looking at or touching each other's genitalia, etc), and it just seems kind of sad/odd to me to say that nope, this is a subject that CANNOT be depicted in any level of detail because it ~might~ be construed in a porny way by someone, somewhere. Thoughts?

More job frustrations!

Okay I got in contact with the advertising manager and confirmed the due date (tuesday) so I only have 1 and a half days to really work on the selection criteria.

The phone call was long but they really hammered in looking for people with conceptual abilities. How can I get this across in giving examples of:

- written communication
- verbal communication
- specialist/technical skills (this appears to be "list if you have a degree") and not a paragraph of experience? Because I have lots of software experience relating to transferring company goals into software but not sure how to express this?
- company goals awareness
- company policy awareness
- problem solving.

These are all the subheaders I need to write a small paragraph for.

She also gave me a document to read, told me more about the role (software maps!!! data management!!!)

I wish I had noticed this the first round, she said I must have missed it the first time. I should have asked when that was as I was recently on leave for 2 weeks.



I also later that night accidentally butt dialed but it went through to message bank, I hope this is not held against me.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I do not feel as though it was well written. Rey's progress to being godlike in just a few hours, I did not like...What character progress is she going to get after that? The plot was a rehash of the first movie. You might say it was purposeful and it definitely could be, but that doesn't make it NOT lazy...

I enjoyed the movie, don't get me wrong, but I don't like the unilateral praise of its amazing plot and characters. It was good, not great, and rode on a lot of nostalgia and references to get through the rest. But hey, it was better than the prequels.

Book club

So I made a post the other day about trying to start up book club again, and it got some interest. Gonna put it out there a couple more times to try to catch as many people as possible. Any interest in doing a book club again? Also, if you are interested, what are some things you might rec as our next book to read? If we get enough interest, I'll put up a book poll around the beginning of next month and we'll read our first book in April.

So I'm only three episodes in but calling it now, this show is going to be a modern classic.

I've not seen an anime that has been this mature, and emotionally complex in years.

The central focus is on a man who gets sent back to his childhood to solve a series of kidnappings. However, whilst that sounds fairly by numbers, it's serves as a reflection to view our childhood through adult eyes and the relationship we have with those in our lives, whilst being entirely true to it's late eighties setting.

Words can't really serve it justice, which is fitting, because so much of what it doesn't state.

Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets question

So I'm rereading the Harry Potter books after having not read them for about 5 years. I'm on the last chapter of Chamber of Secrets and I'm a little confused about something.

Knowing what we know now that Tom Riddle's diary is a Horcrux, I'm a little confused how Tom Riddle turning human is possible. Like, I understand that the part of Voldemort's soul in the diary was feeding on Ginny's soul so if she died Tom Riddle's soul would leave the diary and he'd have an actual physical body, but what would have happened to the Voldemort that had been sharing a body with Quirrell the year before? Where was he? Would that mean that there would be young Voldemort and old Voldemort?

Do any other women really like anal sex? obviously TMI
