I'm similar. I was much more interested in Remus and Snape than Harry and the trio. But I also don't really care about them as kids. I want to know about their faculty meetings and them fighting Voldermort, and then what happened afterwards. I don't care about that with Harry and the others.

You know, this make me want some kind of AU fic where Anakin still does a fair amount of bad things, turns to Vader, but does his heel-face turn about fifteen years earlier, actually has a relationship with his children, Leia and Han still have Ben, and Snoke still tries to coerce Ben, who idolizes the evil his grandfather did and not the good, and his family, Anakin in particular, is still trying to turn him away.

& Anakin is still heavily involved with the Jedi Order.

I don't ship it either. I didn't ship 7/Janeway either, which was pretty big when I was in the fandom. I liked Tom/Chakotay, which was pretty small. I never really shipped Janeway with anyone, though I did like her. I didn't really find a niche when in this fandom.

One of the problems with using tinypic is that it's hard to tell how big your images really are, so often they'll be too big for FS community rules. That's why so many people prefer imgur. But if tinypic has your family hostage you have to use it, one way you can doublecheck the real size of your graphic is to right click and open the image in a new tab, all by itself.

Basically exactly what I was thinking. There were so many things Kimmy could have suggested Gretchen do with her leadership (?) skills. Like she could have made a "cult" to help women get out of bad/abusive situations or if she wanted people to "follow" her, could have become a teacher or a lawyer or hell, she could run a summer camp and tell the kids and counselors what to do.

This whole season has basically been me going, "This could have been so good."

I don't understand why these two people would be kissing, the one guy's arms are too big, like he's spent his life carrying heavy boxes or something, and he's either got some seaweed stuck to his back or a really dumb tattoo.

Someone also needs to tell them both that that shaved up the sides hair cut is getting really overdone and boring.

One, I'm not sure anyone has said that it's the sole reason those ships are less popular. Just that it is one factor that exists.

Two, there are definitely best friend / partner ships that are really, really popular. It's not like antagoniships are the only things that exist. It's just that, again, buddy ships where both characters are white tend to be more popular.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. If she was played by someone Asian, you'd have people complaining about the "Wise Asian Master Helps The White Person Become The Best At The Thing" stereotype.

So, Disney is hedging their bets by genderswapping the Ancient One and then picking a androgynous actress to play them (since the Ancient One is sort of supposed to be this person that transcends time and space.

I like SPN and DW and am indifferent to Sherlock and I have encountered exactly one readable Superwholock fic.* I couldn't say exactly what about the combination makes things not work, but in my experience they almost never do. Any two of them can be done okay, but all three? Something just goes terribly wrong.

I'm a femme lesbian and sometimes I like playing as boys. Sometimes I think they look cuter, idk. or if a game has gay romance options I often prefer them to the lesbian options (not as a rule but sometimes lesbian romance options feel cringey to me). I don't like playing as butch macho guys, but as boys or thinner, more youthful looking guys, I sometimes feel more comfortable identifying with them than some female designs.
